British Slang and Dialects
Sulking. This is mainly used in Yorkshire (I think!)
Scousers. Thanks to Ali8 I now know that it comes from a type of stew that Liverpudlians eat, called Scouse.
A pub. I have about 6 locals! :)
Someone from England. I know that this isn't really British slang, but it does relate to British people. It may have originally comes from POHM - Prisoner of Her Majesty, a term for the people who were sent to the penal colony in Australia. Thanks to Awkins and Lizbit for that!
Your bird. I hate it when I get referred to as a bird!
Eat it. It's a sausage! Goes they go BANG sometimes when you cook them! Also a firework, or, if it was referring to a car, you could drive it (not far, though, a 'banger' is not a very good car!)
