Yes. Eragon never knew this until he heard it from Murtagh while fighting him. When Eragon was young, his mother ran away from Morzan. I hope you enjoyed my quiz. =)
Who was the rider on the red dragon? | Eldest

Murtagh. Murtagh was a friend of Eragon's. He was forced to do evil by Galbatorix after he was forced to swear unbreakable oaths.
We'll now travel towards the end of our exciting book. Does Orik go with Eragon and Saphira when they fly out of Du Weldenvarden into Surda? | Eldest

Yes. The dwarf said it was too boring and he was being too lazy at Du Weldenvarden. He said he wanted to start a new adventure!
Did Roran engage to Katrina? | Eldest

Yes. At first Roran doesn't tell Katrina's father that they are engaged because he was scared that he would oppose it. Later, when they get into a fight, Roran blurts it out.
With how many guards will Eragon journey to Du Weldenvarden? | Eldest

7. The guards end up being companions, with little in the way of guarding needed. They do not really have to fight anyone in the journey.
Who did the Ra'zac come to Carvahall for? | Eldest

Roran. They discover that Roran is Eragon's cousin. They came because they want information on Eragon.
Was Trianna a sorceress? | Eldest

Yes. Trianna's mother taught her some magic. Later, when Eragon and Trianna have a conversation, Saphira interferes.
Carvahall. After Roran escapes with most of the village of Carvahall, the Ra'zac burns the town down. Eragon finds out by scrying the town.

Nasauda. The Council of Elders wanted Nasauda to become leader because they thought they could control her. She proved them wrong afterwards.

He dies from the Urgals.. He dies after he slays five Urgals. Murtagh and the Twins gets captured by the Urgals.

An arrow was shot into his body. Eragon uses magic and takes the arrow out and heals the man.
Roran. Roran sneaks up behind the Twins and bashes their skulls with his hammer. Murtagh, though sworn to serve Galbatorix, makes no effort to stop Roran.
A werecat. Maud is also known as the Watcher, Quickpaw and the Dream Catcher.
Queen Islanzadí. Arya's royalty was unknown to Eragon, and many others. The elves were about the only people that knew of her royalty. Selena was Eragon's mother. Faolin was an elf who accompanied Arya when she was taking Saphira's egg to the elves. Glenwing was the other elf that accompanied Arya.
Katrina. Katrina and Roran were going to marry until Katrina was captured by the Ra'zac. Roran travelled to Surda in hope of finding help so he could rescue her.
Human. Ismira is Sloan's deceased wife.
Thorn. Glaedr is Oromis' dragon.
Shruikan is Galbatorix' dragon.
Irnstad is the only dragon rider, other than Eragon, to ever have slain a shade.
Nar Garzhvog. Durza was the shade Eragon slew.
Ahgrat ukmar means 'it is done' in the Urgal language.
Drajl means 'spawn of maggots' in the Urgal Language.
the Boar's Eye. When the captain says anyone who wants to sail closer than a mile to the Boar's Eye must be stark raving mad, whereupon Roran declares "Then I'm stark raving mad!" Again, good job Roran!
The Twins. Good job, Roran!
Arm. Vanir then apologizes for the way he had so recently behaved towards the Rider. Eragon asks if Vanir wouold like him to heal the wound, but Vanir decides to keep it and let it heal on its own.
Magic is difficult for him. Oromis also says that even though he can only perform the smallest of spells, many of those spells layered on top of one another perform like one big enchantment.

Back leg. Eragon is startled when Murtagh heals his dragon with just a few words.
The author's sister. Christopher Paolini admits in his acknowledgements that he based her on his sister Angela, and also comments upon the fact that his sister doesn't really seem to mind and actually helps him with some of the witch's dialogue.

A horse. The horse had a spear stuck in it, and he took the horse's strength to fortify himself and stop the animal's suffering.

May luck and happiness follow you and may you be a shield from misfortune. This messed-up blessing actually comes in handy when the girl saves Nasuada's life. At the end of the book Eragon promises Elva that he can redo the blessing and take away the ill effects.
Oromis and Glaedr. Brom died in "Eragon" and his dragon Saphira died long before. Murtagh doesn't appear with Thorn until the end of the book, and Glabatorix stays very firmly where he is with Shruikan.

Dragon Wing. They take Dragon Wing from Teirm with the help of Joed and Uthar. Red Boar, Merrybell and Edeline are the barges thay take from Narda to Teirm.
Jeod. Jeod tells them about Eragon and what's happened to him since he left Carvahall.
Ajihad. Ajihad was killed by Urgals and Nasuada became leader of the Varden. Hrothgar was killed by Murtagh at the end of the book during the final battle.
