2. Dickens wrote a new ending to the story just before initial publication. In most books, both endings are printed. If you have a book with the original ending, wow.. you're rich!
Cook. A housemaid came in and told Mr. Pocket the cook was drunk and passed out in the kitchen. Mrs. Pocket defended the cook saying that it was the housemaids doing, causing mischief.
Apron. "She was tall and bony, and almost always wore a coarse apron, fastened over her figure behind with two loops, and having a square impregnable bib in front that was stuck full of pins and needles."
Drummle. While having some of the boys over to his house, Mr. Jaggers refereed to Drummle as "the spider." He said he liked the look of the boy but not to trust him.
Drummle. Estella ended up marrying Drummle, breaking Pip's poor heart. She did not love Drummle and ended up regretting that choice.
