Hearts in Atlantis
Bobby. His name was Bobby Garfield.
'Your father didn't exactly leave us well off.'. Although she always seemed to have money for her things.
An adult library card. It allowed him access to all parts of the library, not just to adult books. His mother had a friend at the library who let him use the card.
John Sullivan. They called him Sully-John.
Carol Gerber. The older kids caller her the Gerber Baby.
'Lord of the Flies'. Ted said it was one of the rare books that combined good writing and a good story.
Harry Doolin. He dislocated her shoulder.He got what he deserved though. Bobby ended up beating him with a baseball bat!
The Dark Tower. I can't wait for the next Dark Tower book.
Pete. The narrator's name is Pete.
University of Maine. Stephen King also attended the University of Maine, in Orono.
Chamberlain Hall. Hess hall is where I lived in college. The other two are in the story, but not where the characters lived.
Hearts. This might be too easy, but some people might not know it's a card game.
Rip-rip. His real name was Stokely Jones III. They called him 'Rip-rip' because of the sound he made as he walked.
Nathan Hoppenstand. Nobody really liked him though, except maybe for Dearborn.
David Dearborn. They called him 'Dearie' behind his back, and sometimes in front of it.
2.5. If they dropped below this mark, they lost their financial aid, and would probably end up in Vietnam.
His music. Nate liked some pretty lame stuff.
Pete and Skip. Although it was a struggle, they got their grades back up.
1960 during the summer.. The first section is 1960 summer. The main character is excited about summer vacation being around the corner. He is later disappointed when his best friend goes to camp for a week.
An adult library card.. Adult Library Cards are a thing of the past. He was excited when he received it because he was tired of reading the "Hardy Boys". Later on he finds out that it is not all that great.
Another world. We find out that Ted is a Breaker from the Dark Tower. This ties in to the 'Dark Tower' series that Stephen King also wrote.
