    Batman Begins

Young Bruce, still not knowing how to proceed in his goal of cleaning up Gotham City and looking for confrontation, encounters the biggest crime boss in town, namely Carmine Falcone. Which actor convincingly portrays the unctuous Falcone?'Batman Begins' (Part 2) (thejazzkickazz)

Tom Wilkinson. Tom Wilkinson has appeared in dozens of films as a character actor, including 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', 'Shakespeare in Love' and 'Rush Hour'. Despite being born in the U.K., Wilkinson is able to portray a mob boss in this film with a New York-style accent. What range!

Why did Lucius Fox (played by Morgan Freeman) have a suit on hand that was suitable for Bruce's needs?Batman Begins (skunkee)

It had been developed for the army.. The suit was perfect in every way, except for the colour, which was easily taken care of with a little paint. When Bruce asked why it had never been used by the army, Lucius replied that a soldier's life wasn't deemed to be worth $300,000. Lucius had no problem with Bruce borrowing these things because he felt that, as the sole surviving Wayne, they pretty much belonged to Bruce anyway.

Who said 'Does it come in black?'Batman Begins (skunkee)

Bruce Wayne. After Lucius first showed Bruce the Tumbler, the vehicle that would become the Batmobile, he asked Bruce what he thought about it. Bruce responded with the above quote, indicating that he found the vehicle perfect in every way, except for its camouflage colouring. The Batmobile is an actual vehicle that was designed specifically for the movie, by Chris Corbald and Andy Smith. It cost approximately half a million British pounds to make, and four of them were needed during the course of filming.

Who is the head of the League of Shadows?Batman Begins (nickgamer20)

Ra's Al Ghul. The League of Shadows is a group that brings justice to those who do wrong. At the top of a mountain, Ra's Al Ghul helps train Bruce to be in the League of Shadows . When Bruce is trained and is expected to kill a murderer, he says "I'm not an executioner." He then burns the League of Shadows' headquarters.

Who is Bruce Wayne trained by?Batman Begins (nickgamer20)

Henri Ducard. Bruce's training includes sword fighting, learning how to take a hit from people hitting him with sticks, and learning how to pick the right guy from a group. Henri goes to Gotham late in the movie, to destroy the city by putting something in the water. Batman helps stop this. Towards the end of the movie, Henri Ducard reveals to Bruce that he is Ra's Al Ghul. Liam Neeson plays this part very well in the movie.

Who gives Bruce Wayne many of his gadgets to become Batman?Batman Begins (nickgamer20)

Lucius Fox. He was working in the research and development field before he was fired. Part of his job includes providing state of the art gadgets like a bullet-proof suit that Bruce Wayne borrows, for what Bruce calls, "spelunking". Fox lets him borrow the suit because Bruce is the only Wayne alive so everything belongs to him. Lucius Fox is portrayed by another famous actor, Morgan Freeman.

Underground railroad. Bruce's family has lived in the Wayne mansion for six generations. His great-great-grandfather played a role in the Underground Railroad by allowing runaway slaves aid and comfort. Part of this process involved hiding them in rooms within the foundation, located in the bat cave underneath the mansion.

Which villain left the "calling card" at the end of the movie?Batman Begins (nickgamer20)

Where did Henri Ducard (played by Liam Neeson) first find Bruce (played by Christian Bale)?Batman Begins (skunkee)

in prison. Bruce's odyssey of exploring the criminal world resulted in his being arrested and jailed in a Bhutanese prison. Here Bruce honed his fighting skills by taking on large groups of prisoners. Ducard arranged to have him released and set him the task of picking a blue flower from the side of the mountain and carrying it to the top. Ducard assured Bruce that if he did this, he would find the answers to his questions.

When Bruce is in the prison yard for breakfast, he is confronted by a gang and a fist fight ensues. In which country is this prison? "Batman Begins": A Progression (steve_92)

Korea. Bruce is clearly quite capable at thrashing all of these men at once, and once the fight is broken up by the guards, he is taken into a solitary cell. The guard states when asked that it is for protection. Bruce, almost feeling belittled, argues(quite rightly) that he doesn't need protection! The guard then adds that it is for the protection of the prisoners.

When Bruce finally arrived, late to his own party, he delivered a speech in which he referred to his guests as sycophants and users. This had the desired effect of making all of his invited guests leave. Why did he do this?Batman Begins (skunkee)

He was trying to keep his guests from being injured and killed.. Bruce was late for his own party, because he was saving Rachel from the Scarecrow. When he finally arrived he was told that someone claiming to be Ra's Al Ghul was there to see him. This puzzled him because he believed that Ra's Al Ghul had been killed when his mountain retreat had burned to the ground. He soon found that the new guest was actually Henri Ducard, and a group of fighters or League of Shadows. They had come to destroy Gotham City because of its corruption. Bruce cleared his guests out to prevent them from being the first to fall to Ducard's intended cleansing. At this point it was revealed that Ducard actually was Ra's Al Ghul, because Ra's Al Ghul 'never died'. It was implied, but not clearly stated, that he had always been Ra's Al Ghul.

What is the name of the man who kills Bruce Wayne's parents?Batman Begins (nickgamer20)

Joe Chill. This is a sad part of the movie. We see the Wayne family at the theatre. Bruce gets scared of the bats in the play, and wants to go outside. Though Batman is able to successfully capture and confront Dr. Crane, he is too late to prevent the drug from entering the water supply. This is not entirely a problem, however, as the drug does not have an effect unless it is...?Batman Begins (Part 3) (thejazzkickazz)

Absorbed through the lungs. Batman learns that the drug is being manufactured from the same 'rare blue flowers' that he discovered early in the film. In fact, Bruce Wayne experiences the effects of the drug early in the film, but only at a very small dosage. The quantity needed to have deadly effects is much larger. The plan of the League of Shadows is to dump the drug into the water supply and then use the magnetic emitter to vaporize it, spreading it throughout the city in the form of steam.

She is hesitant, saying "Finders keepers, and I found it first," to which Bruce replies "In my garden!" Rachel proceeds to open her hand only to let Bruce snatch the arrowhead and almost mockingly reply, "Finders keepers!" As Bruce runs away he stumbles and falls through the wooden cover of an old well.

It is Bruce's birthday, but he must rescue Rachel who has been poisoned with a toxin found from the blue flowers. There is an epic car chase and Rachel is almost killed. This gives way to the inspirational words given earlier to Bruce by Rachel. What were these words?"Batman Begins": A Progression (steve_92)

It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.. She said this to him at a party at which she noticed he had been acting quite foolishly. Bruce definitely does not want to give off this impression to the woman he loves, and claims that "I am more underneath", and she replies with these words.

Did Bruce and Rachel become a couple at the end of the movie?Batman Begins (skunkee)

No. Ironically, Rachel wanted nothing to do with Bruce when she saw him as a rich playboy, lacking in direction. In fact she told him that it was actions that defined a person, not who they were deep down. When she realized that Bruce was indeed Batman, and that his actions spoke clearly about who he was, she expressed her pleasure in his actions, but took a step back. She said that the city needed him more than she did, and that someday, when the city needed him less, she would be there for him.
