Company Themed
A pink pig costume. Foo Foo, of course, wears a pig costume. This was the cheapest option.
Central Australia. Freak Out Guy (played by Brok Power) was conceived by Dave Jackson and Brok Power on a trip to Central Australia.
Chuck Palahniuk. According to the Pleasant Assassins webpage, "Slums" was said to be "Chuck Palahniuk material" by critic Alexandra Phelan.
Rooty the Clown. Rooty the Clown (played by Dave Jackson) appears in "Throbbing Gristle of the Black Horseman". He says this to his bored audience who obviously have no interest in his act.
Tony Hodgeorini and Matt Shirvington. Dante Randal is played by Dave Jackson. According to their website, after his role in "Slums", this is Dave's favourite character he was cast to play.
Slums. "Slums" was the biggest project for the Pleasant Assassins in 2003. It was a short black comedy and popular with the Pleasant Assassins fans.
Isaac Egan. It was Isaac Egan. This is a story known well by fans of the Pleasant Assassins, as it truly illustrates the mood swings Dave can have. Isaac refused to get out of Dave's chair, so violence ensued.
David Jackson. According to www.pleasant-assassins.com, Dave Jackson does most of the work behind the scenes on the Pleasant Production films, generally directing, writing and editing.
Spleen. "Spleen" was released in 2001. The Pleasant Assassins tend to view it as a failure in most respects. Not recommended.
David Jackson and Gavin Murray. The Pleasant Assassins are, of course, Dave and Gavin. They formed in early 2000 working on scripts, stand up comedy and comics. In 2001, they moved on to filmmaking.
