 Dawn of the Dead
a shopping mall. "The Night of the Living Dead" depicts characters trapped in a house while the sequel, "Dawn of the Dead" depicts characters trapped in a shopping mall.
piloting a helicopter there. In "The Night of the Living Dead" the characters ran and drove to the house where they were trapped. In "Dawn of the Dead" they piloted a helicopter to the mall. In fact, the only reason they had to stop at the mall was to refuel the helicopter.
Monroeville Mall. Monroeville Mall is an actual mall that was one of the earliest malls ever. Cross Roads Mall is actually the name of the mall that they reside in during the remake of "Dawn of the Dead".
to Roger's grave. Even though this scene is brief, it is still kind of sad. Now that Roger's dead and Fran and Fly Boy are a couple, Peter is all alone.
news station. This movie begins at the WGON news station where Fran and Fly Boy work. This scene shows how people are reacting to the zombies.
any island. "We got a plan. We figure we can make it to the island."

Everett, Wisconsin. Everett, Wisconsin is a fictional place that is supposed to be located outside of Milwaukee. The name is mentioned once during the bonus feature “Special Bulletin” in the director’s cut DVD.
Luis. Luis was the first person to be killed onscreen. Vivian, a little girl who lived in their neighbourhood, attacked him, ripping out his jugular.
May 9, 2004. Another bonus feature in the director’s cut DVD is “The Lost Tape”, which contains gun shop owner Andy’s video diary. In it he mentions seeing the new arrivals on the mall rooftop, and his excitement at finding more people like himself. The date of the entry is May 9, 2004.

She's one of the actors from the original 1978 film.. Gaylen Ross portrayed the character of Fran in the original 1978 film.
Andy. Andy is the guy who is trapped in the building on the other side of the mall parking lot. The name of his store is Andy’s Gun Works, and he lives in the apartment above it.
B.P. Trucking. The same company name was used on the trucks outside the mall in the original 1978 film.
Zombie. Although zombie is the more popular term to describe the film’s monsters, it is never once used by a character. Mostly, they are referred to as 'those things'. CJ uses the term dead cannibals once and Steve describes the infected as being dead-ish: “Yeah, in the sense that they all sort of, uh... fell down... and then got up... and started eating each other."
June 6, 2004. Again, according to “The Lost Tape”, Andy makes his last entry minutes before he turns into a zombie on June 6, 2004, the same day the zombies breech the mall forcing the survivors inside to implement their escape plan 5 days earlier than scheduled.

Edward Solomon. Cora asks Ana "Aren't you off?"
Ana replies "An hour ago."
Cora finds him in ICU, but says he was entered in backwards, as Solomon Edward. Ana is surprised to hear he is in the ICU (intensive care unit) from a bite wound.
908. I noticed that the ambulance did not maintain consistency with its colors. The side she approaches from has reddish stripes on it, as do the back doors. The side we see as it leaves the hospital has amber colored stripes, not even close to red.
Have A Nice Day. "Have A Nice Day" is by the Stereophonics. All of these songs can be heard in the movie.
Vivian. We first see Vivian roller skating as Ana is pulling into her drive way at home. She tells Vivian she might do some skating laps with her tomorrow. The next time we see Vivian she is in her sleeping gown and a little bit hungry!

"Please don't do this to me!". Luis gets up after she makes the call. He attacks her and she grabs the car keys off the bedside table. Then she runs into their bathroom and slams the door shut, falling back into the tub in the process.

Michael. Jake Weber (Michael) played the husband of Allison Dubois on the NBC series "Medium". He was also in "American Gothic" in 1995. Jake was born in England and attended Julliard.
9. Andy is on his roof across from the mall, and three guards accompany Ken, Ana, Michael, Andre and Luda atop the mall. They'd just finished the roof top "SOS" sign and the guards had thrown down the dead.
Best Buy. He is trying to maintain clear thinking, but is also being realistic. Andre finds his know it all dialogue annoying, even though Michael does not mean to sound that way. So, when asked Michael confesses he sells televisions at Best Buy.
Fort Pastor. When doing research, I could not find a real Fort Pastor in Wisconsin. The other three choices are real locations.

played the organ. It was Glen who radioed out to Norma and told her about the people hiding out in the chapel. One woman she brought to the mall was very sickly and far into the undead process. Ermes Blarasin played the "bloated woman", and he once played "fat man" in a movie as well. He also did stunts for "Detroit Rock City" and "X-Men".
Ana. She had some speed on her after she died! Ana used a fireplace poker to kill her once and for all. Ermes Blarasin played the role of the bloated zombie.

Texas war figurines. Andy's pieces appeared to be regular figurines for the game, but Ken's were what looked like Revolutionary War style pieces. I found out from one our Funtrivia members that it was an "Alamo Chess" set from the Texas Revolutionary War.

Steve. Terry and Nicole are seen with a telescope at night; Ken and Terry playing basketball; Ana and Michael watching either "Mr. Ed" or "Animal House"; Ken working out with weights; Bart and CJ playing cards in lock up.

Nobody, the dog is Chips. The dog doesn't attack the men, and does not appear infected. It was a half legged man in the piping above their heads that lunges down onto Bart and bites his neck.

Chips. Chips is the dog found in the garage. Nicole named him Chips, and Ken sees Chips as quite capable of doing this job. They lower him down, and he safely crosses the expanse. When he enters Andy's place through a small door, the infected see it as their way into his shop. Michael tries to raise Andy on the enclosed radio, but when Andy does respond they find out he was bitten getting the dog. Andy did not know what the mall group did, that the bites were the end. Poor Andy spent all that time starving and waiting, just to go down five days before their escape!
Ken. Ken and Michael each started off driving one of the re-enforced shuttles. Then, Ken's shuttle suffers casualties and flips. Ken and Terry live through the accident and get into Michael's shuttle, but Steve is bitten and turns. Ana does as she promised him she would, and puts a bullet through Steve's forehead. She had to stop and retrieve his boat key from his dead body, and at the same time a hoard of infected storm the area. Michael helps her back into the vehicle as CJ uses the shotgun on the group of attackers. Ken takes reign of the wheel and drives them to the docks.
