flying through the air.. This time Jack dies.
Anthony Hopkins. Antonio Banderas is the actor who becomes Zorro after Anthony Hopkins teaches him. Stuart Wilson and Matthew Letscher respectively play Don Rafael Montero and Captain Harrison Love.
Tornado. When De La Vega and Alejandro are riding in the cart through the market, they spot a black Andalusian being led off. Alejandro remarks that it looks like De La Vega's old steed, Tornado.

Romania. When Elena arrives at shore, she receives a bouquet of Romania flowers from a little girl. She says that the scent was familiar to her, but she couldn't remember what it was. One of the Don's then informs her of the flower's name and origin.
200 pesos for the both of them. Joaquin and Alejandro get angry that they're only being turned in for 200 for the both of them. Next, Alejandro tells Jack not to take it, then the three of them spring their cunning trap on the unsuspecting officers.
Joaquín. Joaquín is played by a Cuban named Victor Rivers. He and Antonio do look somewhat similar.
In the scene where they blow up the mine, when the fireballs are ripping through the picture, what animal can you hear, if you listen closely? | The Mask of Zorro
|
A puma. I had thought it sounded like an animal doing their form of yelling, and this thought was confirmed by the DVD commentary, specifically said by the director, Martin Campbell.
Is Three-fingered Jack killed by Captain Harrison Love as Jack jumps out of the wagon? | The Mask of Zorro
|
No. Jack is shot twice in this movie whilst he flies through the air. Poor guy!
What is the name that the soon-to-be new Zorro gives Montero as his own at the banquet at the Hacienda? | The Mask of Zorro
|
Don Alejandro del Castillo y Garcia. The Spanish sure do have long names. At that banquet, Alejandro sure did make you think he was a Spanish nobleman.
During the fight scene at the Montero hacienda, the fight between Zorro and the rest of the people, during the part where Zorro and Montero are fighting around a candle stand, the music in the background is that of a song from which movie, with an added Hispanic flare in this one? | The Mask of Zorro
|
Titanic. The man that composed the music for this movie had just come off of doing the music for "Titanic." To be exact, the music that can be heard is from when the "Titanic" is sinking, but of course, in "The Mask of Zorro" it has a Hispanic flair. You can also hear another song from "Titanic" in the scene at the mine, where Alejandro is dressed as a water bearer. For those of you that have it on DVD, go to scene 25.
What sound effect is played through each sword fight scene in the movie? | The Mask of Zorro
|
The feet of Spanish flamenco dancers. The music director came up with that idea, and it was approved by the director. It sort of adds a tempo to keep up with.
Stuart Wilson. Tony Amendola plays Don Luiz, Matt Letscher is Captain Harrison Love, and Anthony Hopkins plays Don Diego de la Vega.
Another little note: Stuart Wilson also plays Robin O'Locksley on "The Princess of Thieves."
Tornado. Whenever Zorro needed Tornado to come for him, all he would need to do is whistle a high-pitched whistle. The original Zorro (Hopkins) whistled for Tornado after the scene where he cut the letter 'Z' into Don Rafael's neck. Alejandro tried calling for another black horse later on in the movie so he could have a black stallion. Alejandro called the horse many names but the horse only came when he whistled.
Don Diego. This was said in the scene after Alejandro had been shown his brother's severed head in a container, by Captain Love. Don Diego tries to get Alejandro focused again on what is actually happening.
Alejandro Murrieta: I miss my brother, sir.
Don Diego de la Vega: Your brother is dead. We lose the ones we love; we cannot change it. Put it aside.
Alejandro Murrieta: How? How can I do what is needed, when all I feel is... hate.
Don Diego de la Vega: You hide it.
[Holds up black mask]
Don Diego de la Vega: With this.
When Alejandro and Joaquin are children during the revolt of the peasants, what did their guardian say that he did not want to carve for them? | Zorro Returns To Funtrivia
|
Coffins. Their guardian did not want them to be killed by the soldiers in the revolt. So he sent them away because he did not want to carve coffins for them too.
fourth. Elena said that she had dishonoured her father, by looking wildly at a bandit. However, Elena actually broke the fifth commandment, which is to dishonour your parents. The fourth commandment is keeping the Sabbath day holy.
Drink. Diago says this to Alejandro when he wants to go and fight Captain Love whilst he is drunk. This is a bad idea if he wants to fight and kill Captain Love. 'No, not today. He is trained to kill. You seem trained to drink. Oh yes, my friend, you would have fought very bravely, and died very quickly. Who then would avenge your brother?'
His horse. He thinks this because the army still has not been able to find and capture Zorro, and if they don't capture him then their whole plan of buying California will be a failure.
Victor Rivers . Victor Rivers has been in the movie industry since 1984, since his debut film 'Fear City'. Victor has been many films, including 'Hulk' and 'In Too Deep'.
Joaquin. In the last scene, while Alejandro is putting the baby to sleep, he quietly speaks to Joaquin. The name of Joaquin is important because it was the name of Alejandro's late brother.
Bernardo. They do not want to let Don Rafael know that his enemy is also his new found friend's servant, so Alejandro calls him by a different name at the party. 'Bernardo, pick up your feet.'
Charm. This was said by Don Diego to Alejandro, after he revealed his new task to him, which was to go to Rafael's party as a gentleman.
At the beginning of the movie, how many men does Rafael Montero say he would murder if it meant killing Zorro? | The Mask of Zorro!
|
100. At the beginning of the movie, Montero says this, after Zorro says, "You would murder 3 innocent men just to capture me?" Montero answers, saying, "I would murder 100 innocent men if it meant killing you." Montero is the sworn enemy of Zorro, so that is why he wants to kill him.
Anthony Hopkins. Anthony Hopkins does a good job of playing Zorro. In the movie, Zorro goes home to his wife Esperanza, and his daughter Elena, after the fight scene. Hopkins has also starred in movies such as "Bad Company", where he performed with Chris Rock.
