Lee's father however, brings her a drink and recites to her "Your soul and your body are your own, and yours to do with as you wish", making her smile for the first time since arriving, and thank him.
Mr Grey tells him.. Lee runs from Peter's house, while still wearing the wedding dress Peter's mother has given her, and heads to Mr Grey's office. Mr Grey tells her to sit at his desk and not move until he returns, hoping that if he leaves her long enough, she will give up on him and leave. In order to help this along, he telephones Peter and tells him where Lee is.

She tries to subtley coerce Peter into spicing things up in the bedroom, but her hints go straight over his head.
