Chapman Music. Herb still owns that shop. That was Steven's main inspiration as a kid.
Stevenson. Their debut was "I Love My Lips" on the "Veggie Rocks" CD.

September 21, 2004. "All Things New" was supposed to release on September 21, but some stores didn't put on the shelves for a few days. Many people (me included) all around America headed to the store to purchase "All Things New" on its release date. And October 29 is there because that's when I saw Steven in concert...

The Great Adventure. "The Great Adventure" (beginning with the great line "Saddle up your horses!" was his first music video. After that he said he was in some pain because he had been riding horses for the music video!

'All I Really Want', 'The Miracle Of Christmas', 'Christmas Is All In The Heart' and 'The Night Before Christmas'. He did only write four of the songs on this album. Most of the songs, though, had traditional words but he did the song a little differently!

Mercy Me. He did it with Mercy Me; in his last concert of the tour in Indianapolis, IN, Jeremy Camp came out for five minutes at the end but he did not actually go on tour with him.
November 21st 1962. Steven and his wife Mary Beth's birthdays are both in November!
Zephaniah. This song includes the lyrics "There's a song being sung over you, by the one who breathes life into you," which is almost an exact copy of the verse in Zephaniah 3:17

Mary Beth was clinically depressed. "The Live Adventure" was very close to never happening after Mary Beth was clinically diagnosed with depression. Their marriage was in a tough place, and Steven was gone all the time recording and in meetings. They really considered and prayed about not going through with the tour because of the help Mary Beth needed at home, but in the end they knew the tour had to happen. If that particular tour didn't launch, Steven's career would probably not be what it is today. It really rocketed Steven's fame and popularity throughout the Christian music community.

The grinch. "It was kinda like in that movie 'the Grinch', not that my wife is at all like the Grinch...just, go with me here!" He used this to explain how his family's heart expanded to take in this orphan and love her like their own. By the way, since the first adoption, the Chapman's have adopted twice more.
Will Franklin. Steven talks about his wife and kids during this segment of the show. Talking about his two sons, Will and Caleb, who were like 3 and 5 years old at the time, Steven tells the audience "Pray for Will Franklin. Mary Beth and I would like to see him reach 4, but we're not sure Caleb has the same goal." He had mentioned earlier that Caleb loved to play with his little brother (Will) but sometimes Will didn't always want to play the games Caleb wanted to play; and that sometimes Caleb's idea of playing with Will meant inflicting pain on him.
was transpiring. This is from the song "11/6/64" which tells Mary Beth how special Steven's life became on the day she was born. He played this for one of the first times in front of an audience at a conference called "Rekindling the Romance", and of course all the women were melted into puddles, and the husbands were like "yeah thanks Steve, just hand us the crappy husband award now." Hey, it takes a special guy to write songs like this for his sweetheart!
I Love My Lips. Although Caleb co-wrote "See the Glory" with Steven, they did not record it together. The Chapman boys were actually asked to be a part of a recording for a Veggie Tales album by various artists. So, they chose "I Love My Lips", and did a really creative arrangment of it.
Ain't Misbehavin'. Steven was so proud of his grandmother, smiling ear to ear watching the woman play like a pro. He said it's probably a bit like home video to us, but to him it's priceless stuff.
