Boston Pilgrims. The club were the Americans in 1901, the Somersets in 1902, and then the Pilgrims from 1903-1906. The team became the Red Sox in 1907. The Pilgrims were managed by Jimmy Collins who also played third base, and led by the great Cy Young who went 28-9.

Jimmie Foxx. Although the others listed hit over 40 in a season, Foxx smacked 50 in 1938. Boston finished 2nd in the American League. This first baseman also hit 58 home runs in an Athletics uniform, 6 years earlier in 1932. These were his only times to reach the 50 barrier.
Huntington Avenue Grounds. Huntington Avenue Grounds were the home of the Boston Americans in 1901. The Red Sox inherited the ballpark through the franchise when they became the Red Sox in 1907. Their attendance was 436,777 in their inaugural season, good for ranking 3rd out of 8 teams. They moved to Fenway Park in 1912, before making it Fenway Park II in 1934.

Joe Cronin. Of those listed, only Cronin managed over 1,000 games, and had a total of 2,007 in a Red Sox uniform. He led the club over 13 seasons to only one American League pennant. He retired in 1947.
