Jarome Iginla. They took Iginla 11th overall from the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL. He was then traded to Calgary, where in the 2001-02 season he scored 52 goals winning the Maurice Rocket Richard Trophy as the league's top goal scorer.
Richard Jackman. They took Jackman fifth overall from the Sault-Ste-Marie Greyhounds of the OHL. He didn't excel until the 2003-04 season when he recorded 30 points in only 50 games.
Brenden Morrow. They took Morrow 25th overall from the Portland Winter Hawks of the WHL. It took a few years until he actually played in the NHL, but had a fairly good rookie season in 1999-00 scoring 33 points in 64 games.
John Erskine. They took Erskine 39th overall in the second round from the London Knights of the WHL. In Erskine's rookie season, he played 33 games recording one assist.
