Wrigley Field. The Angels played their games at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles. They drew only 600,000 fans in their first season. The following year they played in Chavez Ravine at Dodger Stadium. Their attendance almost doubled and went over 1,000,000 fans.
Bill Rigney. Rigney led the team in 1961 to a 70-91, 8th place American League finish. He would manage them until the 1969 season, never finishing better than third. With the Angels, Rigney obtained a .469 win percentage.
2002. The Angels won their division in 1979, 1982, and 1986, before winning the American League flag along with the World Series in 2002. Under the helm of Mike Scioscia, they defeated the San Francisco Giants 4 games to 3.
Dean Chance. Chance had a stellar year in 1964, which would be the only highlight of his career. He was 20-9, had 207 strikeouts, and won the American League Cy Young Award. Ryan set a team record by winning 22 games in 1974.
Darin Erstad. Erstad was the man in 2000 when he batted .355, which broke Rod Carew's 17 year team record of .339 in 1983. Erstad began his career with the Angels in 1996.
Alex Johnson. Johnson reached the 200 plateau by smacking 202 hits in 1970. His batting average was the highest in the American League that season. It was his first season with the Angels after being traded from the Cincinnati Reds.
Troy Glaus. Troy is the only one listed to reach the 40-plateau in an Angel uniform. He hit 47 in 2000, then backed it up with 41 in 2001. Jackson's high was 39, and Leon Wagner hit 37.
