Minnesota Golden Gophers

Vanderbilt and Bradley. Williams Arena opened in 1928.
The Sports Pavilion. Williams Arena was remodeled in 1950 and was divided into two separate arenas within one building. The larger one houses the men's and women's Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball teams. The smaller arena was originally used by the ice hockey team until the early 1990s, when it relocated across the street to a new arena. That smaller arena, known as the Sports Pavilion, now houses the volleyball, wrestling and gymnastic teams.
Dusty Rychart. Dusty finished his career ranked sixth on the school's all-time field goal (.519).
Voshon Lenard. He averaged 19.8 ppg in the 5 tourney games.
Dr. Henry Williams - head coach of the Gophers football team from 1900 to 1921. In 1903, the Gophers football team went 14-0-1. The lone tie came against the University of Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines left behind their water jug, which has become known as the Little Brown Jug, one of the oldest and most famous college football trophies.
