McMurray, who looked as though he would be the one to make the Chase, came up short when the #42 Havoline Dodge lost a cylinder. Kahne and Harvick both had bad races and ended their chances of being in the top 10.
Carl Edwards . Carl Edwards was the winner of the Florida Dodge Dealers 250 in a race that was full of cautions. Earlier in the race, Edwards collided with Randy LaJoie and both trucks went down pit road at race speed, but somehow still came back onto the track without losing many positions.
Justin Labonte . The winner was Justin Labonte, son of Terry Labonte and nephew of Bobby Labonte. Justin drove his #44 Coast Guard Chevrolet past Mike Wallace with one lap to go when Wallace ran out of gas.
Joe Nemechek. Joe Nemechek was the winner of the Banquet 400 after winning the pole. Ricky Rudd was a close 2nd, Biffle 3rd, and Sadler 4th.
