Dale Earnhardt Jr.. The race held at Daytona International Speedway on February 9th, 2008. This was his second Bud Shootout win. Junior first won it back in 2003. This also marked his first two wins (non-points races) under new ownership of Hendrick Motorsports.
There were no wrecks and the vote-in driver won. There were a lot of cars running, but there were no wrecks and the vote-in driver (Kasey Kahne) won the race.

Daytona 500. The Daytona is the most prestigious and the biggest paying race of the Nascar season. They have been racing at Daytona at the start of the season since 1982.

Jimmie Johnson. Jimmie Johnson broke the winless drought with a Saturday night win in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2007, Hendrick won 18 out of the 36 races.
Kasey Kahne. Kasey Kahne in his #9 Budweiser Chevy was voted in by the fans after finishing 5th in the showdown before the big challenge. He went on to win the All-star race, and that has never been done by a voted in driver.
