A Cheer. Long ago, a cadet for the school made up a cheer and named it a "Hokie."

Nick Sorenson. Nick Sorenson (#14) played many positions at Virginia Tech. His most famous were Quarterback and Free Safety. He was one of Frank Beamer's best all-around players.
Temple. September 19, 1992, Virginia Tech Beat Temple 26-7.
1966. They lost to Miami (Fla.) 7-6 on ABC.
38-14. A season to Remember.
Bryan Randall and Jeff King. Randall played point guard and King played power forward.

Florida State. January 4, 2000, in the Nokia Sugar Bowl, the National Championship game saw Virginia Tech lose 46-29 despite being ahead 29-28 at the end of the third quarter.
