September 22, 1986. Just imagine how the Tanner family felt when that spaceship crashed landed on their roof. I really think that the reason for the great success of this show was due in part to the cute little alien!
Alien Life Form. The show was titled "ALF", however, in the very first episode, the Tanners need to give him a name. Since he was an Alien Life Form, they called him ALF.
Gordon Shumway. Once he was living with the Tanners for a little while, he started to tell them about his life on Melmac. One of the things he told them was that his name on Melmac was Gordon Shumway.
Paul Fusco. According to the the website, ALF Online, the voice of ALF was done by Paul Fusco. Another interesting fact about this show is that although Paul Fusco was the voice of ALF, he was also one of the creators of the show.
Rhonda. ALF also had another friend on planet Melmac, aside from Rhonda being his girlfriend, his best friend was Skip.
Eating cats. The Tanners' cat Lucky got the worst of it, he was not safe as long as ALF was around. You see on Melmac, they considered cat eating a delicacy. Thankfully, ALF came to love Lucky.
Alien Task Force. Once the little fuzzy alien crash landed on the Tanners' roof, the Alien Task Force, tried to find out if the Tanners were really harboring an alien life form in their house.
102. There were 102 episodes, one television special, and one movie about this adorable little creature.
Raquel and Trevor Ochmonek. It's amazing that they never figured out that 'ALF' was hiding out in the Tanners' house. Way to go 'ALF' !
Lucky. Most episodes of "ALF" had ALF chasing Lucky around the house.
Alien Life Form. Alf is an alien. Paul Fusco voiced Alf for 34 episodes. When Alf made appearances, he was sometimes credited as Gordon Shumway, but Paul remained his voice.
Melmac. The name of Melmac is an inside joke, referencing dinnerware from the 1950s.
Rhonda. Lisa Buckley played Rhonda, she was also off camera for more than twenty episodes, as Alf's assistant.
