      Miami. In this race, eleven teams comprised of racers from previous seasons departed from Miami, Florida and took a flight to Quito, Ecuador. Teams could choose from two different flights six teams boarded a Copa Airlines flight arriving later, but departing earlier, while five teams taking a later departure time on an American Airlines flight arrived nearly two hours earlier. Once in Quito, teams needed to locate the Plaza San Francisco.

      Teri and Ian. After obtaining their first clue at Plaza San Francisco, teams were instructed to head three miles to Pim's Restaurant where the manager would give them something. This turned out to be a departure time to leave for their next destination. Four teams departed at 7:00am, four at 7:15am, and three at 7:30am.

      Rob and Amber. After the Road Block, teams were required to make their way on foot around a trail around the island containing the post office to find their Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Oswald and Danny were first to arrive at the Pit Stop and they won a trip to Maui. Last place, surprisingly, went to Rob and Amber, who placed first in the previous three legs. They were the fourth team eliminated.

      Mozambique. In the beginning of Leg 5, teams departed from the Pit Stop at the southern tip of Mastil de General Belgrano on Tierra del Fuego in Argentina with the instructions to head to Marshall Glacier. Here, teams had to take a chairlift and hike 1.5 miles to use an avalanche beacon to locate and dig for their next clue buried in the snow. Once teams found this, they were required to fly 7,000 miles to Maputo, Mozambique.

      Charla and Mirna. After the Detour task, teams were instructed to make their way to the Pit Stop which could be found at Fortaleza, the oldest building in Maputo. Uchenna and Joyce, the last team to touch the mat, were not eliminated, but they were declared 'Marked for Elimination'.

      Tanzania. In the beginning of Leg 6, teams left the Pit Stop in Maputo, Mozambique and were told to catch the next flight to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Once there, teams needed to travel ten miles by taxi to a ferry station where they could take a number. Teams would leave the ferry station to the island of Zanzibar in boats corresponding to the numbers that they pulled.

    Which team was placed on the final dhow boat in Leg 6?"The Amazing Race" 11.3

      Teri and Ian. The seven remaining teams were separated on four different dhow boats at the Dar Es Salaam ferry terminal departing at 5:30am, 8:30am, and two following times. Inclement weather brought many of the front teams together in the boats early in the morning. Once teams reached Zanzibar they found their clue box at a marked kiosk.

      Solve It. Once teams arrived at Zanzibar, they found their Detour; a choice between 'Solve It' and 'Schlep It'. Charla and Mirna, Oswald and Danny, Uchenna and Joyce, and Eric and Danielle, Teri and Ian, and Bill and Joe completed this task. In 'Schlep It', teams needed to go to a lumber yard nearby and place two fifty pound logs on a cart to wheel more than a mile to a shipyard. Dustin and Kandice completed this task.

    Which team member did not complete the Road Block task of Leg 6?"The Amazing Race" 11.3

      Joyce. After the Detour, teams were told to travel fifteen miles to the small village of Kikungwi where they would find their next clue- the Road Block. Team members completing this task needed to be on target as it would have them tossing a hunting tool called a rungo at a clay figure. Mirna, Oswald, Kandice, Uchenna, Danielle, Joe, and Ian finished this task.

    Which team was eliminated in Leg 6?"The Amazing Race" 11.3

      Teri and Ian. After the Road Block, teams were instructed to drive fifteen miles by taxi to Stonetown where they could find the sixth Pit Stop at Old Fort. Here, Charla and Mirna once again placed first. Because of this, they won a couple of catamarans. The final team to arrive (and on the next day at that) was Teri and Ian, and because of this they were the fifth team eliminated from the race.

    Which team took the pre-arranged flight to Warsaw in Leg 7?"The Amazing Race" 11.4

      Eric and Danielle. Teams (some more than sixteen hours apart) opened their first clue of Leg 7 at Zanzibar's Old Fort. This clue directed them to Warsaw, Poland, more than five thousand miles away. Teams had the option of using tickets letting them arrive at a set time or getting earlier tickets. The two teams taking the designated tickets ended up trapped at Kilimanjaro Airport when their plane arrived minutes too late. This put them hours behind.
