Babylon 5 Universe: Quotes
Ivanova. Sheridan had just promoted Ivanova - this was part of a way to get her to take care of more of the diplomatic problems.
'Commander, do you have any idea of the tests they'll put him through the things they'll do to him trying to find a transmitter that's not there?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes
|
Garibaldi. Sinclair had an interesting sense of humour.
'Commander, this little breach of security isn't gonna affect my Christmas bonus, is it?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes
|
Garibaldi. Garibaldi and Sinclair were always good friends. In "War Without End," Sinclair intentionally avoids seeing Garibaldi so the Security Chief won't want to come and help get Babylon 4.
'Yours is the oldest of the five federations, ours is the youngest. Technologically you're centuries ahead of everyone else. We have unlimited manpower and the will to use it! Can you imagine what we could achive together?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes
|
G'Kar. Delenn's reply was 'I can. Which is why it must never be allowed to happen!'
Londo. Londo and Garibaldi had an interesting friendship. In the earliest episodes, it seems as though Garibaldi actually has been lending Londo money to use in the casino.
'Why is it every time you finally get things calmed down and everything's going great, life decides to kick you in the butt?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes II
|
Sheridan. Delenn could not understand what the word 'butt' meant. After saying the word so many times, Sheridan said that she sounded like a motor boat. Delenn replied "Motor butt?"
Ivanova. She is talking about a friend of Sheridan's from EarthForce.
'Oh great! Now you can give me something for the pain! -- Where were you when I was going through puberty?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes II
|
Ivanova. Ivanova had hurt her ankle and Franklin was giving her something for her pain.
'I guess it wouldn't be a good time for me to suggest we all join hands and sing 'Kumbaja'?' | 'Babylon 5' Quotes III
|
Garibaldi. Garibaldi was known around the station for either making sarcastic remarks or using humour to lighten things up. In one classic scene, he is eating breakfast with Sinclair and Ivanova. She is complaining about being tired and falls asleep. While she's napping, Sinclair and Garibaldi switch the plates so it looks as though they've finished their meal. They wake up Ivanova and get her to think she's late for her shift. Then the two men go back to eating.
Londo. Season 5. Londo said this - and then the Centauri almost do.
Londo says: "You haven't changed a bit." Someone else replies: "You have. You've devolved." Who said this line? | "Babylon 5" Quotes 1
|
Timov. In the episode "Soul Mates," Londo's wives arrive on the station at Londo's request. He has been granted a divorce from two of his wives and is attempting to decide which wife to keep. Daggair and Mariel both try to win Londo's favor through sex, which absolutely disgusts Timov, who will not stoop so low as to express false affection in order to win.
Finish the quote: "We do not have cats on ______, we have goks." -- "Goks?" -- "Goks. Such creatures are an attempt by the universe to make sure that we never take ourselves too _________." | "Babylon 5" Quotes 1
|
Minbar seriously. This is from a lovely conversation between Sheridan and Delenn in the episode "A Race Through Dark Places." They are having dinner at the Fresh Air restaurant and Delenn is wearing that stunning dress. Sheridan had just gotten through telling the old EarthForce cat story and Delenn finishes by talking about goks and studying humor on Minbar.
assassin of joy. This quote was spoken by Londo to Vir in the episode "Born to the Purple."
Who said the following line: "Thin air? Why is it always thin air? Never fat air, chubby air, mostly-fit-could-stand-to-lose-a-few-pounds air?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 2
|
Garibaldi. In the episode "Grey 17 is Missing," Garibaldi is investigating the disappearance of a maintenance man. He is questioning the supervisor, who comments that he had vanished into thin air (when in fact he had been eaten by a Zarg).
Who said this quote: "Oh, great, now you can give me something for the pain. Where were you when I was going through puberty?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 2
|
Ivanova. After being caught up in the Drazi fight in the episode "The Geometry of Shadows," Ivanova goes to Franklin about her broken ankle. Claudia Christian, who plays Ivanova, really did break her ankle right before shooting this episode. In the original script she was supposed to fight her way out of the trap set by the Drazi later in the episode, instead of having to be rescued by Garibaldi.
Who are the two participants in this conversation: Person1: "I will not support murder. We can not kill him." -- Person2: "Can we wound him? Just a little?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 3
|
Franklin and Ivanova. Just another friendly telepath comment from Ivanova from the episode "Dust to Dust." Bester is once again making an appearance on Babylon 5 and the command staff is deciding what to do about him when Garibaldi suggests killing him. The life loving doctor will not support even the murder of Bester but Ivanova can't stand letting Bester just walk away. Later Ivanova disobeys orders and is just about to blow up Bester's ship when Sheridan walks in and stops her.
Finish the quote (same word in all blanks): "_____? What do you mean _____? _____ what? _____ yes, _____ no?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 4
|
Finish the quote (Marcus is speaking to Franklin): "They say he aged backwards. That was how he was able to foretell the future, by remembering it. Which means he came from the future. Maybe Arthur formed the round table by remembering us. We're forming one of our own after all. Which makes you _______. I'm _______, him being sinless and all. Sheridan as _______. Ivanova, perhaps ______. I think we both know who Mordred is. So the question is, who's Morgana Le Fey?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 4
|
Percival, Galahad, Arthur, Gawain. This is from the episode "A Late Delivery From Avalon," in which a guy (played by Michael York) shows up believing that he is King Arthur (he's really the Earthforce officer that fired the shots that killed Dukhat, starting the Earth-Minbari War). He ends up going into a state of catatonic shock, and is only revived when Delenn (acting as the Lady of the Lake) takes Arthur's sword, Excalibur. As Marcus and Franklin are returning from seeing him off station, Marcus comments that Kosh is Merlin and then he goes off on the above quote. (For those of you who weren't quite sure who the Babylon 5 equivalent of Morgana Le Fey was, it's Anna Sheridan.)
Who said this quote: "I don't believe this. What is it with this place? I mean, last week someone tries to assassinate Sheridan, and now someone tries to poison Londo. My God! What is wrong with you people? Don't you have anything else better to do? Why don't you get a hobby? Read a book or something?" | "Babylon 5" Quotes 4
|
Vir. This is from "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari." Vir had believed that someone had tried to poison Londo through his bravari (he really had a heart attack) and in an earlier episode, an ex-Earthforce officer tried to assassinate Sheridan. So Vir was fearing that this was going to become a habit.
Lennier. This takes place during a conversation between Lennier and Vir. Vir replies with "a hell of a life" and Lennier tells him "you win."
This moment between two Ambassadorial aides comes from the fifth season episode: "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari." It's a great episode, check it out.
Ivanova. SHERIDAN: "And you believe this?" SINCLAIR: "I believe it." MARCUS: "If Entil'zha believes it, I believe it." IVANOVA: "I'll be in the car." This comes from "War Without End I."
Sheridan. Well, it was more like a computer simulation of Sheridan speaking here. This is part of a speech meant to help rewrite Alliance history from the episode "The Deconstruction of Falling Stars," Season 4's very unique finale.
Dodger. She says this to Garibaldi after she has... um... died.
This quotation can be found in "Day of the Dead."
Franklin. Dr. Franklin was getting just a tad annoyed with Marcus on their way to Mars in "Racing Mars." Thankfully, no shots were actually fired.
Nobody said it. Nope, no one said it at all in the series. Actually, thats a part of a song. "Babylon 5... a fabulous place in a corner of space..."
Galen. In "The Well of Forever" Galen tells Gideon that, through keeping their promises, they will both forgive themselves for their common crime: being alive.
Lennier. Lennier thought they were about to "pass beyond the veil" in "The Fall of Centauri Prime," so he decided to go ahead and tell Delenn his big secret. Too bad they didn't die, now things are going to get awkward.
Garibaldi. When Delenn comes to Sheridan's quarters for dinner in "Sic Transit Vir" he tells her that, unlike Mr. Garibaldi, he is not exactly a gourmet cook.
Tell Sheridan to stop off on the west side and pick him up some bagels. On Mars, in "Lines of Communication," Number Two is skeptical that he can believe what Sheridan says. He asks: "What if I said I'd sprout wings and fly to New York?" and Franklin replies, "If you said it, I'd say you were crazy, but if Sheridan said it, I'd tell him to stop off on the west side and pick me up some bagels."
Tu'Pari. This comes from "The Parliment of Dreams" in which there is an assassin out for G'Kar.
Sheridan. Don't ask a technomage the wrong question... trust me. Sheridan found this out first hand in "A Call to Arms."
