While at home watching his team win the championship, Nathan had a long and interesting conversation with his imaginary friend Quentin Fields. This was Sam's way to repay Peyton for the destruction of her wedding gown.

Haley found out about it and made Jamie pay his friends back all their money. Owen brought Brooke a lot of make up gifts, but in the end she admitted she wasn't sure they had a future. At the end, Luke brought Julian his scene of Keith's death. While there, he saw a picture of the two of them that Julian had conveniently left out in the open. When he questioned her about it later, Peyton told Luke that she and Julian had been in love.
Yes. A movie producer named Julian (actor Austin Nichols) came to Tree Hill and offered to turn Luke's first novel into a movie. I am not sure how he did it, but the man convinced Luke to sign a contract without reading it. Of course, Julian agreed to allow Luke to write the script, have creative control and a producer credit. But, none of that was in the contract Luke signed without reading, it was all promised while drinking at Tric. The man turned out to be from Peyton's past in Los Angeles and she looked none too happy to see him.

Meanwhile, Peyton was trying to deal with her news that Mick was her reluctant biological father and Owen the bartender was trying to convince Nathan to play arena basketball.
Deb and Dan. Haley received a fake phone call (from Carrie) that stated Dan was dying in a hospice. So, she called Nathan and left him a voice mail to that affect. Then she took Jamie out to the address Carrie gave her so he could say goodbye. When she pulled up to the home, she became suspicious of the location and had Jamie stay inside the locked car while she investigated. Inside the home she found Dan tied down to his bed. He was drugged, but tried to warn Haley. Carrie hit her on the back of the head and then tried to get Jamie to unlock the car. Later, Haley and Jamie ran into a field of corn trying to escape the pursuing crazy nanny Carrie. Jamie went in first, then Carrie, and lastly Haley hid and waited until she could scoop up her son. On their way back toward the house, Deb hid behind Haley's car and smashed Carrie in the face full force as she ran up. Deb had recognized Carrie from a photo she found in the house after Haley had left. Carrie had earlier sat beside Deb in the park and talked to her a short time. The impact was brutal, but did not kill Carrie. So, Carrie tried to come after Haley and Deb one last time, in true horror movie fashion of "they never die", and Dan shot her from the front porch with her own gun. Apparently that didn't kill her either, as he was still dealing with her ridiculous ravings later that evening.

The look on his face revealed he knew what was to happen as he laid eyes on what was most likely the body of the store's cashier. Quentin first appeared last season as the bad boy basketballer at Tree Hill High. Mentored by Nathan and tutored by Haley, Quentin made amazing progress on and off the court. He befriended young Jamie, and gave the youngster many fun nicknames. Jamie had his mom Haley making Quentin, or Q as Jamie called him, a cape just like his own. Now the young parents would have to tell their young son about the death of his beloved friend. Robbie Jones played Quentin Fields.
Lucas married Lindsey. The episode began with Lucas dreaming about the women he had loved in his life. Before each marriage scenario, Luke talked to a man playing a 'guess which card' game on a street corner. When he awoke in the airport, the man dealing the cards out was standing before him. This man, Gus, may have been an angel because he knew all along who Luke proposed to. When Peyton arrived to join Luke on his flight to Vegas, Gus already knew it was her.

Yes. All that was required for this to be possible was for a snip-it of film to have been recorded. Julian's father was fired from the studio, so they shut down all of his projects that were not into principal filming. In shocking twist of generosity, the wild and crazy director shot a small piece of film in order to prevent Julian and Lucas from losing the money they were promised. This was in "Searching For a Former Clarity".
Adam 'Dixon' Reese. Luke had met with the audacious director twice, and each time dismissed him. The second time, Luke had made it clear as to exactly why Dixon was NOT right to direct the film. Dixon took that little speech and regurgitated it back to Paul Norris, which won him the job. Dixon, played by "Dawson's Creek" star James Van Der Beek, wanted to essentially trash the intimacy of the story and make it a scandalous tabloid like experience. Unless this was to all prove as an act on his part, he was definitely head to ruin the love story of Tree Hill. This was in "We Change, We Wait". Dixon was apparently a nickname he'd given himself.
Peyton and Luke. The newly pregnant Peyton and Luke had the chance to take a peek into what would lie ahead for them as parents. In the end, Jamie and Andre wore out the couple and tucked them into sleep on the couch. Nathan and Haley came home to see the adults fast asleep and Jamie claiming that they'd "put them down about an hour ago". It was very adorable, as are most of Jamie's scenes.
Peyton. Peyton found out she and Lucas were going to have baby. Brooke continued to hunt for her missing daughter, who was being held by Jack's crazy brother. This was the same man who'd killed Quentin. Also, Millie confessed that she'd slept with someone, which happened to be Owen the bartender.

Jamie was a little girl in the dream. In the episode, it was raining heavily in Tree Hill. Peyton was at her studio, and called Luke to tell him she'd be late getting home. He fell asleep waiting for her and had a crazy dream. In the dream, Dan held a mobster like standing in Tree Hill City. Mouth was a reporter down on his luck and looking for a big story to raise him back into standing. Luke owned Karen's Cafe, a trendy and very blue colored night club that had a sign above the door stating "people always leave". Dan too owned a club, a seedy dive that had once held Haley James captive as its solo performer. She'd moved on to work for Lucas, where she was much admired by a humble bartender on his way to war, Nathan Scott. Peyton was Dan's "kept girl", as Dan had once dated Peyton's mom and now took care of her daughter. It was never mentioned which of her mothers he dated. Julian was Dan's shifty right hand thug, and Skills was the piano player at Luke's club. Brooke owed Dan money. He'd loaned her the cash to start her own garment line, but it hadn't faired well. When Mouth witnessed a crime he shouldn't have, Dan and Julian encased his feet in cement and tossed him into the river. Peyton witnessed that and ran to Lucas to report the crime. Meanwhile, Brooke had struck a deal with Dan to erase her debt. She had to kill Luke to fulfill her debt. When Dan handed her his gun, she turned it on him instead, but he'd removed the bullets just in case. In the ensuing struggle over guns, Peyton was shot and killed. Haley and Nathan had gotten married earlier that day, and she promised to wait for him to return from war.
