An inmate at the Springfield jail. Marge met 'Tattoo Annie' when she was in jail for robbing the Kwik-E-Mart. Annie had a huge tattoo on her back that read 'What kind of slime would I marry?' which was a Mad magazine fold-over. When Annie folded her shoulder blades together it read: 'What, me worry?'
The cat burglar who lived at Grampa's retirement home. Malloy lived in the retirement home with Grampa and 'wore sneakers... for sneaking'. He stole Lisa's saxophone and also stole the world's largest cubic zirconia. Grampa noted that he walked 'a lot more vertically then usual'.
He does traffic reports on the news. 'Arnie Pye-in-the-Sky' does traffic reports from a helicopter. He is on Channel 6 News, with Kent Brockman. He does not normally talk much about the traffic, but rather, he tends to throw up or throw out his food from the chopper. Artie Ziff was Marge's old boyfriend.
Homer's enemy from work. 'Grimey' appeared in the episode "Homer's Enemy" and worked at the Nuclear Power Plant. He saw that Homer was grossly unqualified to do his job as safety technician and died while pretending to be careless like Homer. His gravestone read: 'Frank Grimes (Homer's Enemy)'. At the funeral Homer falls asleep and whines, 'Change the channel, Marge!' Homer's mechanic is Frank Grimes Jr.
An extra character added in "The Itchy, Scratchy, and Poochie Show" episode. He appeared in this episode after Marge and Lisa were saying how you couldn't just introduce a new character to improve the ratings. He also disappeared at the end of the episode after "Itchy & Scratchy" got rid of Poochie.
Homer's half-brother. Homer discovered he had a brother in the first season: Grampa had gotten with a lady at a carnival. He went to Herb's place and ruined his business by designing an awful car. Herb reappeared in a later episode and invented a baby translator. He was voiced by Danny DeVito.
Ruth's daughter. Bart had a crush on her when they first moved in next door (the Wilson's old home). She dated Jimbo Jones until Bart set him up with Moe (by making a prank phone call). In a later episode Marge and Ruth went on the run from the law.
A man at the retirement home. Homer impersonated him while Apu pretended to be married to Marge. He drank Lay's chips through a straw, and raced Jasper in a wheelchair. In the end the real Cornelius returns, admitting he ran away from the home on first arrival.
Grampa's girlfriend. In "Old Money", Bea died and left Grampa with all of her money. He didn't know what to do with it, so he held interviews with the townspeople to decide what to do with it. He ended up spending it all on an upgrade for the retirement home.
Bart's Siamese twin. In one of the "Treehouse of Horror" episodes we learn that Bart was born with a Siamese twin. Hugo was supposedly the 'evil' one, and had been locked up in the attic for 10 years with a bucket of fish heads to eat each week.
Jailbird that Marge rooms with. 'They call me that because I killed my husband with a Phillips-head screwdriver.' Marge meets her in jail after she robbed the Kwik-E-Mart.

The Simpsons' nanny. When Marge's hair fell out, Dr. Hibbert said it was from stress. He recommended that the Simspson family get a nanny. She seems just like Mary Poppins except she claims not to be. We find out she used to be married to Willie back in Britain.
Homer's boss at Globex. In "You Only Move Twice" Homer works at Globex. He thinks life there is perfect and then he finds out Hank is a super-villain who threatens the UN.
A girl that worked with Homer. Lisa accuses Homer of either having 'an infatuation with a woman named Mindy... or a man named Andy' after she catches him singing in the bathroom. Homer and Mindy (who has red hair) go to a conference and represent Burns' power plant.
Apu's brother. We see Sanjay quite a few times and he is always with Apu. He takes Apu partying: 'I'm going to party like it's on sale for $19.99!' He is also present at the court case when Marge has stolen bourbon from the Kwik-E-Mart.
A country music star. In the season 2 episode "Colonel Homer", Homer went out of town and discovered the singing talent that was Lurleen. He became her manager, must to Marge's disapproval, and Lurleen wanted to have an affair with him. She resurfaces in a much later episode as a washed-up singer, attending a gala event in Springfield.
Shelbyville Nuclear Power Plant. We meet him in "Homer at the Bat" when Mr Burns bets him a million dollars that the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's baseball team will beat the one from Shelbyville. Burns then makes Smithers go out and buy Major League players such as Daryl Strawberry. Amadopolis also features in the episode where Homer inadvertently saves the plant from a nuclear meltdown.

In the 300th episode when Bart sues Homer we hear him say that half of his wage goes to his Vegas wife and the other half will now go to Bart.
The Sanitation Commissioner. Homer beat him in an election with his campaign of 'Can't Someone Else Do It?' This was in the 200th episode, and starred Irish rockers U2 at a concert.
