Age of Mythology
This Goddess is available only if you choose Hades or Poseidon. Her God power involves turning enemies into pigs (called ‘Curse’). Her mythical unit is 'Nemean Lion'. Who is she? | "Age of Mythology" - Choosing A Greek God!
|
Aphrodite. Choosing Aphrodite can help villagers – her improvements can help them work faster, gain more favour, etc!
Hera. Choosing Hera will help in improving buildings and myth units. Her improvements include Athenian Wall, Face of the Gorgon, etc. Another myth unit provided by her is ‘Carcinos’.
Yes. Atlantean Mythology involves Titans and Titanesses. The Olympian gods, from Greek Mythology, imprisoned the titans after a great war was wrought. Kronos, one of the Atlantean major gods, was the father of Zeus, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and, Hestia. Zeus overthrew him after Kronos overthrew his father Oranos.
Saturn, Uranus, and Earth. Saturn is Kronos's Roman name; Uranus is Oranos's Roman name; Earth is Gaea's Roman name. Oreanos is a false name for Oranos. Janus is a completely different god.
Twelve. Thirteen is one too many, while eleven is one too few. Four only includes thos worshippable at only one time. Major -> Classical -> Heroic -> Mythic. There are three major gods, three classic gods, three heroic gods, and three mythic gods.
No. Atlantean citizens cost 125 food; Norse dwarves cost 70 gold. Atlantean citizens are the most expensive villager in the game. They are more expensive to make than some Atlantean military units. The Atlantean Villagers do not require drop-off points however, and can become heroes, for a higher cost.
being unseen. Leto gives you the Spider Egg, god power. The Eggs lie hidden from enemies until they send units over them; the spiders then spring a trap and pull the poor units in. The eggs can be destroyed before they hatch, however, and must be protected until so.
Palace. The Atlanteans use palaces to train seige units and defend certain areas from enemy attack. Palaces are capable of firing volleys of arrows at enemy units in range.
Dryad. The Dryads can be trained at a Hesperides tree. The Hesperides were tree folk that defended Hera's garden of golden apples. Heracles had to infiltrate this garden, and steal a golden apple from his worst enemy, Hera.
Arkantos. Kastor is the Character you play not his father. Krios is a character in the campaign. Zeus is not Kastor's father, Arkantos is. Before the Egyptian titan and Norse titan levels, Arkantos appears and tells Kastor, Amanra, and Ajax that a titan is ravaging those lands. Kastor refers to Arkantos as 'father'.
Gaea. Kastor plays a major role in the campaign, but does not actually defeat Kronos. Oranos is, in real mythology, dead, but in the game he is helping Kronos. Zeus was weakened so much that all he could do was watch in horror. Gaea is summoned from the Gaea pools. Only one pool needed to remain activated to finish the summoning, though all four had to be activated at the same time to start the process.
He becomes the ruler of Atlantis.. Kastor is given, by Arkantos, the staff of Atlantis. Which signifies him as the rightful leader of the Atlanteans. Krios is long dead, and Arkantos cannot leave his post on Mount Olympus long enough to do so. Kastor lives throughout the campaign.
80. Ulfsarks were Viking warriors that wore bear skins into battle. Ulfsarks, along with Hersir are the only real military units that can be trained the Archaic age.
70 Crush, 70 Hack. The Titans used to rule the earth, but Zeus and other gods fought them and banished them to Tartarus. The Titan is the most powerful unit in the game. However, large groups of heroes will counter the Titan.
None, it is summoned by a God Power. The Niddhog is summoned if you Worship Hel in The Mythic age. It is a very powerful myth unit, but is vulnerable to towers.
Ra. Hathor is a minor god and Set lets your priests convert animals while Isis blocks God Powers with her monuments. This can be useful if you want your Pharaoh to pick up relics.
Archers. Archers are the typical counter, however, exceptions exist. The Egyptian Slinger, the Greek Pelast, and the Atlantean Turma also counter archers.
Infantry. Most infantry counters cavalry, but some counter other infantry, like the Axeman or the Hypaspist. However, the downside of all counter units is that they are vulnerable to other types of units.
Cavalry. Cavalry have a high pierce armor, so they take little damage from archers. Some cavalry counter other cavalry (Podromos). Camels counter archers as well as cavalry.
Mymirdon. The Hetroi is Poseidon's unique cavalry that is good against buildings. All Greek Major Gods can train their unique unit out of the Fortress as well as their respective military building (Military Academy, Stables, Archery Range).
Visible to Player. Visible to Player activates the effect when the Player actually sees the unit. Units in LOS is when the unit is seen by any unit on the map.
Modify Protounit. With Modify Protounit you can give a unit more health, more LOS, more attack, more armor or many other things. You can also decrease these stats.
K. When the key, "k", is held down, the selected unit will grow as large as intended and so potentially there could be a villager who is the size of a titan. If you wanted to make a unit smaller, you would hold down "shift + k".
Alt + Shift +C. This allows the camera to not only zoom in or out more than normal but also lets the camera pitch. After "Alt + Shift + C" is pressed, you can press "a" or "z" to pitch the camera. This is a great tool for cinematic or camera tracks if you want to make the camera zoom right in on a person's face.
Yes. This can be created in the editor only. It never shows up in Random Map or in the Campaigns unless you use a cheat. It is has great speed. It also attacks by spewing hearts on its enemies.
Chat Contains. "Chat Contains" can be used to make your own cheats. Simply make the condition "Chat Contains" and the blank be something like, "Dismember" or something no one will ever accidentally put in. Make the effect something like create an Arkantos Uber or give 1,000,000 resources or revile the map. Then when you type, "Dismember" or whatever it is, into the chat, your cheat will happen. If the trigger is set on "loop" it will keep happening unless an effect is "clear chat history".
Change Units in Area. This Effect can be used in many ways. This can be used to change a unit from a Frost Giant into a Fire Giant or many other things. One example of when "Change Units in Area" is used in the campaigns is to change the Automaton statues into Automatons.
Laborors. Workers are one of the most important things in the game. They create buildings and gather wood, gold, and meat. Although if you're Greek, you can pray at a temple to earn favor.
Atlantean. Gaia focuses on economy which really helps in the game for making your army and buildings. Plus, at the beginning of your battle, you get a Gaia forest power, creating a giant forest of trees for tons of wood.
Hades. Hades tries to stop you in many ways once you reach the level of Erebus (Ex. Summons serpents from the ground.) What really helps in Erebus is that the ghosts help guide you through the fierce obstacles!
Pyramid. Wonders don't do anything, but they can sure block off enemies! With the defense points from 10,999-15,000, the opponent will never get near you. Although it does take time to create.
