5. The number in "Arc the Lad" is 14 (the 7 main characters plus Chongara's 7 monsters), but it gets cut down to 5 for "Arc the Lad 2".
In "Arc the Lad 3" it's only 4!
Eda. This is mentioned when the minister Andel proclaims Arc's fugitive status. However, Andel is only covering up for his own misdeeds. Arc and his friends must assume alternate identities upon returning to Seirya at the end of the game.
Roc Roctoll. Roc Roctoll, the announcer of the tournament, has his own dirty agenda. Upon winning the Wind Orb, Roc tries to do your team in. Roc has done in every winner of the Wind Orb, explaining the superstition that possessing the Wind Orb leads to death. Catch Mamaman is the tournament announcer in "Arc the Lad 2", when the tournament moves out of Niedel.
Ability to cast spells without MP. This effect is handy for virtually any character because each character has some attacks that require MP. The obvious drawback, however, is that with four Romancing Stones equipped, no room is left for other accessories.

Book of Cravis. The Book of Cravis protects the user from every status ailment. The Toy Ring, obtained by letting Poco fight in the Wind Orb tournament, causes the very useless Shift Flute to affect the entire battle map. Romancing Stone 3 is a freebie, given by Gogen when you first meet him. Chongara's Summon Pot comes from the Forbidden Ruins in Alatos.

Cheer Trumpet. The Cheer Trumpet is the only musical instrument Poco obtains from a side quest such as this, if you can call it a side quest. The Atrophy Horn is given automatically in Zariban, providing Poco with the ability to damage and blind a group of enemies. The Slow Bass and Battle Drum are available at the beginning of the game. Slow Bass slows down the enemies, and Battle Drum increases attack power.
999. Choko provides probably the most difficult challenge in the game. With 999 hit points, Choko has more health than any other enemy in the game. Fortunately, she is susceptible to paralysis, sleep, and the like. Save some paralyze apples for the fight with her-they come in handy! If you don't have any, Jubakuzen works just as well. Let Tosh use Ouka Raibaku Zen and equip him with attack boosting items. Or, toast her with Fu-jin and Rai-jin. After the fight, she joins you, but has much fewer hit points.
An allusion to the game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" is made during a quiz when you are asked "Final answer?" (although you do not get to change your mind). Where does this take place? | "Arc the Lad" Part 2

Greyshinne. The Amaidar monks in Greyshinne are the only ones who quiz you about the game. Brakia does not appear until "Arc the Lad 2". In Niedel, you may test your battle skills in the arena. Seirya, the place of the beginning and ending of the game, has little in the way of side quests, but make sure you read Arc's father's letters in Touvil throughout the game. Arc may just be sent an item special delivery!
petrified dragon excrement. This scene does nothing to advance the story and can only be accessed before Iga permanently joins the party. It is humorous because the characters fight over something that is worthless. Gogen and Arc enjoy watching this foolishness from a distance.
Kharg and Darc. Every other name besides Gonzales, which is from "Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door", was made up. Kharg and Darc are neither human nor Deimos.
His wife and child. After a battle, you see his wife and only child limping and then they fall to the ground dead. Its sad really but by the very end of the game he gets over it.
Yes. They return from the previous Arc the Lad games and are secret characters in this one. Choko is a child Deimos, which goes to Darc's party, and Dietbeck is a robot, which goes to Kharg's party.
Her father. Volk lost his wife and child in the battle against Paullette. Paullette lost her father in the battle against Volk.
Spirit stones. Spirit stones are dug out of mines and provide energy for humans and magic for Deimos. Humans use it to help with powering machines and making weapons. Deimos use them to summon powerful magic to battle humans.
The Lord of the Black Abyss. Yep, it turns out that he is the main bad guy, and not the Dizweld Army. Zev has been with you, not as a party member but as a guide throughout the entire game.
Yes. You know from the beginning, but they don't find out until later, and they are seriously angry that they're brothers. They actually fight each other a few times but eventually work together.
The Great Spirit Stones. The five Great Spirit Stones of Earth, Wind, Light, Fire, and Water which, when brought together, create an unlimited power. The Sands of Time is from "Prince of Persia" and the other two are made up.
Windalf. Lady Nafia, a human, was their mother, and Windalf, a Deimos, was their father. Nafia, holding Kharg in her arms, falls off a cliff but survives and makes it to a peaceful town called Yewbell. Windalf, holding Darc in his arms, is eventually hunted down by the Drakkry, his tribe, and leaves Darc alone.
