Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information

    Halo III

In the very beginning of the game when you choose to start the campaign, you are treated to watch an interesting intro video. Who speaks in the beginning of this cinematic? "Halo III": Finishing the Fight

Cortana. Throughout the campaign, you find out that the Cortana you once knew isn't what she used to be. If you remember back in "Halo II", she was taken captive by the Overmind and it is up to you to save her in "Halo III".

After the intro, you, Master Chief, meet the alien, The Arbiter, in the mission "Sierra 117". You will not fight the Arbiter, but you will fight along his side throughout the rest of the game. Who's the first enemy you encounter in this mission?"Halo III": Finishing the Fight

Brute Captain Major. The first enemy you encounter is a Brute (Big Ape) but he doesn't use the Hammer. You encounter the new "Halo" Weapon, the Gravity Hammer, somewhere at the end of this mission. Brute Captain Majors do not use the Hammer any time in the game. They use the traditional Brute Shot (Grenade Launcher-ish) and Brute Spikers (Hand rifle that shoots deadly spikes at you). These big guys (or in this case, THIS big guy) wears heavy golden armor and always leads a pack of grunt warriors to defeat his foes.

Now, the elephant, as mentioned before, is quite a vehicle. I said that "you can very well flip this thing once it is turned over" in the last question, but how? I don’t even have the slightest clue. But, I have seen it flipped over once in a game and to my surprise, you see an unfamiliar text on the top right screen when you go up to this now upside down vehicle. What does the text say?"Halo III": Finishing the Fight

Hold RB to flip... wait, what? How do you do that?. Sandtrap is the only map that features the elephant. If you play an online Big Team Battle then you may bump into many players who have done this before and may do it again. Try it with a friend.

Can you customize your Spartan as a Female in multi player?"Halo III": Finishing the Fight

Yes. This only customizes the sound of your Spartan when he/she dies. The appearance isn't affected at all.

In your multiplayer profile. What does your profile front page say when you have not finished the Campaign? "Halo III": Finishing the Fight

Enlisted for Duty. If you finish the Campaign then your front page will say "Finished the Fight" with a special symbol representing which difficulty you've beat it on. These are as follows: Easy: Shield. Normal: Shield and One Sword. Heroic: Shield and Two Swords. Legendary: Shield, Two swords and an elite's skull with a smoking bullet hole on its forehead.

Does Master Chief die in the end?"Halo III": Finishing the Fight

No. Watch the whole credits because there is a post-credit cinematic. Master Chief and the other half of the spaceship which escaped the Halo is drifting across space. Cortana sends a message to Earth to tell them that Master Chief is not dead but we don't know exactly when that message will arrive. Master Chief freezes himself in Cryogenics and tells Cortana to wake him up when they arrive. If the campaign is finished on Legendary, then you will see an extended clip of an unknown planet that Master Chief is drifting toward to. Just maybe, Halo 4 will be made in the future... just maybe.

I am small and puny, but if I fight along side my brethren I am dangerous and vicious in battle. I don't breathe oxygen, instead I breathe a strong methane gas mixture coming from a large tank strapped on my back. Who am I?"Halo III" - Who Am I?

A Grunt. Grunts are basically the Covenants' cannon fodder. They are the lowest possible rank in the Covenant's military caste.

As Commander of the UNSC, I am fearless and bold in times of war despite my physique and... gender. I have black hair, green eyes, about 5'10' and I have a scar on my left cheek in the shape of a 7. Who am I? "Halo III" - Who Am I?

Miranda Keyes. Nicole-458 was featured in the fighting game "Dead or Alive 4". She has the exact same suit as Master Chief, only her voice and name were changed by Bungie as so it did not conflict with the "Halo" storyline. Bungie assisted Team Ninja in making this character.

After crash landing my pelican into a mysterious gorge, I shake myself awake thankful that I survived the massive impact. To my amazement, as I exit the pelican, I see a beautiful scenery. There are trees and hills and a peaceful river running from east to west. But (what's this?), as I move forward, I see two massive buildings- one far east, one far west and a long iron wall trapping me and the two buildings in the gorge. As I look closely, the buildings seem to have forerunner origin. Where am I? "Halo III" - Who Am I?

Valhalla. Valhalla is the final stage of the map Blood Gulch (from "Halo 1") and Coagulation ("Halo 2"). It is quoted by Bungie members as "The new Blood Gulch".

I am a Covenant Loyalist firearm. I can be duel wielded or used individually- overall I am a devastating gun to use. Some people view me with a rather "pointy" attitude. What am I?"Halo III" - Who Am I?

Spiker. Needlers are the purple spiked Covenant rifles used primarily by the grunts. Originally, in "Halo 1 and 2", the needlers were dual wielded. However, in "Halo 3", Bungie made it as so it has a smaller magazine clip, quicker firing and cannot be dual wielded.

Hold it! I stepped into something glowing, something red. I can feel my body strong again and I can feel my armor double in power. What did I just step into? "Halo III" - Who Am I?

Overshield. Deployable Cover creates a permanent (as long as not destroyed) plasma shield that deflects incoming fire. Bubble Shields create a ball-like structure around the user when activated and literally deflects all hostile projectiles. Vehicles and any biological units, however, can still enter in or out of the bubble shield. Regenerators project a soft green glow and it regenerates any player's shields as long as they stay in the glow.

"Shall I help you choose a vehicle, Reclaimer? This one seems in very good condition, primitive armor not withstanding." Who said this "intelligent" line?"Halo III" - Who Am I?

343 Guilty Spark. AdjutantReflex is part of Microsoft's viral marketing campaign for "Halo 3" that first posed as a Bungie fan and was thought at first as a threat when he/she began hacking into Bungie servers. All of the units mentioned above actually took place in the "Halo" storyline.

I am the major organ of The Flood. In fact, I am Flood personified- I am the Flood. I have beaten fleets of Thousands! Consumed a galaxy of flesh, and mind, and bone! Who am I? (Sinister laugh)"Halo III" - Who Am I?

Gravemind. Gravemind (inferi sententia) is one of the main antagonists in "Halo 3". The most that is ever seen of Gravemind are a pair tentacles, his head is never seen.

I am the wisdom of the Covenant. I will lead my race to salvation and glory. No one will stop me as I am the (Last) High Prophet of what?"Halo III" - Who Am I?

Truth. He (the High Prophet) has total power over the entire Covenant race since the death of two of the other prophets: Mercy and Regret. He is the second main antagonist to the "Halo" series besides Gravemind.

I am Master Chief. I am man's savior from destruction. Do I die in the end of "Halo 3"?"Halo III" - Who Am I?

No. Master Chief, at the end of "Halo 3", is seen cryogenically freezing himself as he drifts quietly across space. If the game is finished in "Legendary Mode", a quick shot of a nearby planet is shown and ominous music begins playing.

The Covenant Carbine is the opposite to what human weapon?"Halo III" Weapons

Battle Rifle. Though these two weapons are thought to be the EXACT same, they are not. The human battle rifle has a 3-round burst shot giving it more accuracy. It also has a bit more power than the Carbine. In single player campaign, both are best used against jackals.

Do the new needlers have the ability to home-in on its targets?"Halo III" Weapons

Yes. The homing ability is quite limited. For the most part though, if you get your targets quite close to your crosshairs, they will make contact. In addition they explode shortly after hitting your target, for added damage, and mostly death.

The spartan laser has how long of a charge time?"Halo III" Weapons

3 seconds. The New Spartan Laser is the most powerful Human weapon available. It fires a piercing beam of energy that penetrates several targets and destroys vehicles, but the charge time leaves you vulnerable to enemy fire.

There are how many Covenant weapons in the game? This includes brute weapons. Thanks to kingdm for this error."Halo III" Weapons

Eleven. They are the plasma pistol, plasma rifle, carbine, needler, beam rifle, fuel rod cannon, energy sword, brute spiker, brute mauler, brute shot, and the gravity hammer. In legendary the beam rifle, fuel rod cannon, energy sword, and the gravity hammer can all kill you in one hit so watch out. The brute shot only takes two shots.

If you and a friend were to play on multiplayer and both have an energy sword, what would happen if you were to hit each other at the same time?"Halo III" Weapons

You would bounce off of and lose all of your shields (you would both die, you would both take no damge, you would create a grenade-type explosion taking both of your shields down to zero). In the event that this happens you will both jump back slightly. If this does happen, do not attack right away. Wait until your enemy attacks (should not be close enough but not 100%) and you can kill them by running just a little closer. As you already know, the energy sword is indeed a one-hit kill.

What is the special feature of the plasma pistol when it is fully charged?"Halo III" Weapons

It completely drains shields. This can be very very useful if done right. This was previously called the noob combo (knocking down shields, then using different weapon to quickly kill) before the game changed the time between switching weapons, but this can still be very useful when playing with teammates. You can lower shields and your friends can shoot once to kill the target.
