Dead End Armory. The Dead End Armory sells the Wind Garb worth 7,800 of your hard earned dagols, but boasts high defense and paralysis protection. The Verontier Armory sells the Iron Breastplate which is worth 4,600 dagols and has not quite as good defense as the Wind Garb and no status protection. The Survivor Armory offers Sharkskin as its most potent armor. Sharkskin is worth 2,500 dagols and pales in comparison to the others defensively.
Theater Vancoor. Theater Vancoor is the warrior guild. This is only appropriate after being discharged from the knights. Jack becomes a corporal in Theater Vancoor under Sergeant Jarvis in the Hecton Squad.

Orc . Before this fateful encounter, Jack was excited about eventually testing his strength against an orc. He didn't realize how strong they were, and was quite shaken up after Ridley was injured. Because of the apparent carelessness of the brigade (and the noble status of Ridley), the Rose Cochon brigade is disbanded after this mission by request of Lord Jasne, father of Ridley.

Vareth Magic Institute. Genius Weissheit from the Vareth Magic Institute joins the Rose Cochon brigade on the way to the elven lands. He's quite arrogant, and is only helping because of his motive to see the City of Flowers where the Light Elves live.

Light . Although the message is for the Light Elves, the brigade cannot enter their city because of the hatred between Light Elves and humans. Instead, the group goes to the Dark Elf city to ask for intercession between the humans and Light Elves.

Clive. The Olacion Order is a priest guild. That said, Clive is a fairly effective healer for this stage of the game. Alvin, Fernando and Edgar are also from the Olacion Order and are recruitable later in the game.

Goblins. Three goblins attack on the road to Radiata. Gob, Aesop, and Monki provide more comic relief than challenge, however, as these goblins are simply too stupid to cause any real trouble. Jack was disappointed; he wanted the challenge of fighting orcs.

Rose Cochon. The Rose Cochon brigade is led by Sir Gans Rothschild, son of the great knight Sir Gawain. Gans likes to think that the meaning of "Rose Cochon" has to do with the pride and loyalty of the knights. However, those who have studied French know that Rose Cochon means "Pink Pig", although French grammar dictates the noun comes before the adjective. Therefore, "Cochon Rose" (literally "Pig Pink") would be grammatically correct.

Ridley Silverlake. This is one of those battles that is impossible to win. Jack is simply too weak to take on Ridley at this point in the game. However, Jack's father was a great knight, so it is decided that Jack should have the opportunity to become a knight as well.

Owl. Ray C. Ross is an owl who spends the entire day in the President's Office at Vareth. At first, he looks like the President's pet, but you can actually talk with him like any other human in the game.

1. You cannot win the only time you fight her, which is at the start of the game. Although if you choose the human side, Jack doesn't want to fight her.
Larks. Larks, prime minister of Radiata, cannot be dueled. If you kick him while he's having his audience with King Jiorus in the morning, he will call the castle guards.
Pooch. In order to recruit Lulu, you must find Pooch. He can be found on the trash cans in the Black Town of Night and Lust. Lulu is a member of the Olacion Order's New Faction.
Morfinn. Morfinn is the doctor at the clinic in the White Town of Stars and Faith. He leaves his daughter Rabi with Godwin, a bishop of Olacion.
Nyx. Nyx is of some strange race that lives far from Radiata. To recruit him, you must also recruit Elwen, Curtis and Kain by recruiting all of the characters from Vancoor, Vareth and Olacion.
Thanos. Thanos is actually a former sergeant in the guild who changed jobs after being beaten by Alicia. You can recruit him by doing all of the solo missions.
Wild Pitch. Wild Pitch is the first viewable volty blast in the game. To see it, run away during the battle with Ridley at the selection trials and she will eventually us it to end the battle.
