SOCOM
Special Operations Command. SOCOM, or Special Operations Command, controls all Special Operations forces of the Army, the Navy and the Airforce. This includes SEALs, US Army Rangers, Delta Force, 160th SOAR, STS units, and US Special Forces, or better known as the Green Berets, among many other Special Operations units.

Sea, Air, Land. SEAL stands for Sea, Air, Land. They are the Navy's elite fighting force which can and will be deployed anywhere in a maritime setting. SEALs specialize in unconventional warfare and have various types of specialized training such as airborne and underwater demolitions. The SEALs also have a unit called The Naval Special Warfare Development Group, or SEAL Team Six. This unit specializes in counter-terrorism in a maritime setting.

Escort. During an 'escort' mission, the SEALs are supposed to safely extract 3 VIPs while the terrorists are supposed to eliminate them. Terrorists win when all the VIPs and/or SEALs are eliminated. SEALs win when at least 2 of the VIPs are successfully extracted or the terrorists have all been eliminated.

Enowapi. This breach map, set in Brazil, is definately a challenge for the SEALs. There is only 2 breachable entrances by using C4 and one by using airstrikes to open up a hole in the wall. This is my favorite map as a SEAL.

Doomsday Delivery. You come across Mallard again in the final mission, 'Doomsday Delivery'. He is having a conversation with a comrade about how he duped the American's. You now have the pleasure of eliminating him.
Quixata . Quixata is the leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Brazil, or the RAFB. You eliminate her during the mission 'Hydroelectric'. Once you beat the game on 'Commander' difficulty, Quixata becomes a playable character for online play.
Flatfoot. Flatfoot is the specialist you must keep alive in order to analyze the silos for Uranium. If he is incapitated, you fail the mission.
30 seconds. In 'Breach' and 'Demolition' maps, where the objective is to plant a bomb, you have 30 seconds after a bomb has been planted to defuse it. It takes 5 seconds to defuse a bomb.
M4A1 SD. The M4A1 SD, SD meaning silenced or supressed, is the default primary weapon in all missions for Spectre, except the final mission in the Algeria setting.

Polaris. Polaris, along with his partner Bludshot, are used during the missions "Lockdown" and "Guided Tour".
Russia's SPETSNAZ, or Spetsialnoye Nazranie (Russian for "troops of special purpose"), is Russia's primary Special Operations unit.

Sabre. Sabre is Bravo Team leader for the missions "Terminal Transaction" and "Upland Assault".
The British SAS, or Special Air Service, are Britain's elite commando unit. They have a rich history dating back to World War 2.
Specter. You control Able team leader and squad leader Specter. Specter was Bravo Team Leader in the first SOCOM game, "SOCOM: US NAVY SEALs". Boomer was also only featured in this game.
3. You get three smoke-grenades, 6 HE grenades, 6 M67 grenades and 4 claymores.
Frostfire. Frostfire is the only level in which the Seals wear swimsuits. Every suit is black, has grey utility belts and black holsters.
Three. The levels are: (Alaskan) Blizzard, (Alaskan) Frostfire and (Turkmen) Night Stalker.
16. Each level can hold 16 people maximum. However, in user-created rooms, the max can be set from 2-16 players. The host has the option to force-launch a game and to lock it.
256. Each briefing room can withstand 256 players, with more than 15 rooms. To name the most popular: There are 3 US Central Rooms, 2 US East, 2 US West and 1 Canadian East and West Rooms.
Frostfire. It is the last character. He is equipped with an M89 sniper, has black pants and an odd captain-type hat. He has a Model 18 pistol and has a low, raspy voice.
Kahuna. He laughs quietly and then says it. Kahuna is the first Seals character to chose from, And is equipped with and M4A1.
Three. The back of the case has four pictures but only three of them are screenshots. Screenshots are pictures actually taken while they are in gameplay.

Ghost. It shows the name of the player under the icon on page 36. Ghost is just an example of an online name that they used.
Winterblade. If you look at the objectives you will see that those are the objectives from the Winterblade mission. Winterblade is the first level of the game.
Three. Medkits can be used on you or teammates. You can also revive dead teammates.
a pistol. The AK-47 is a rifle but the rifle is the primary weapon so a pistol is the only gun choice that makes sense. A pistol is your only secondary weapon, so that would just make sense.
Jester dies. If you have actually played this game then you would know that Jester is your able 2. The only time you can fail a mission by a single death is if you or a hostige or informant die. Your teammates are never really critical in the mission unless they all die.
an arrow. It is not the type of arrow that you shoot. It is an arrow made for pointing and it is bashing a guy in the head.
pair of handcuffs. The restrain is used when you are trying to capture a guy. Handcuffs are used to restrain people, so they used that as their icon.
"SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2". "SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2" is able to like up with this game to get special things in both games that you can only get by linking up. In that one you play as Sandman intead of Specter.
Bangladesh. The name of the country featured as South East Asia was changed from Bangladesh due to a complaint from the Bangladeshi government. It still shows up in the mission screen as being where Bangladesh is on the map.
Zipper Interactive. Zipper Interactive has made over seven games including "SOCOM US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo" for the PSP and "SOCOM: Confrontation" for the PS3. Zipper Interactive is also behind the creation of the MMO called "Massive Action Game" for the PS3.
Deadpan and Coldkill. Polaris and Bludshot are from "SOCOM 2: US Navy SEALs" in the Russian missions and are part of SPETSNAZ. They are not playable characters in the missions but are able to be unlocked for multiplayer.
