Secret of Evermore
Poodle. In Prehistoria your dog is like a beast and Antiqua a brilliant hound, Gothica a pink poodle (who is mistaken for a pig at one point). Omnitopia a robotic toaster with some whopping fire power.

Water. Water is one of the most often used ingredients in the game as well as the cheapest. Acid Rain is found in a hidden area to the right of the sand pool area just above the Bugmuck in Prehistoria.
Brainstorm. The Brainstorm can be purchased in Professor Ruffleberg's lab for 14,400 Omnitopian Credits. It boasts a defense power of 144 whopping Old Reliable at 117 and the Lightning Helm at 93. There is no virtual helm but there is a Virtual Glove which is the best armor for the main character's arms.
Peas. Rice is the most commonly traded and the cheapest. Spices are a more valuable item as it can gain some of the artifacts found in the game and better armors.
Neutron Blade. The Neutron Blade can be obtained from a floating red robot in the beginning of Omnitopia. The Moon Sword is from the SNES game "Lagoon" and Mana Sword from "Secret Of Mana".
Invulnerability for 45 seconds. You first need to locate this special ability just outside Ivor Tower. An invaluable ability since if you stockpile those call beads you can make several battles very simple.
Powers up healing items or spells by 25%. You can gain the Moxa Stick from the Nobilia marketplace for 2 chickens, 1 jeweled scarab and 12 spice. The Silver Sheath increases the strength of swords by 25%, the Wizards Coin increases Magic Defense and the Thug's Cloak increases evade by 3%. The Moxa Stick can also be traded for the Gloves of Ra (although they can be found for free in the coliseum).

Professor Ruffleberg. The main character and the dog do not have the typical evil clones like Fire Eyes, Horace and Camilla but you fight the boys clone in the Dark Woods. Both the dog and the boys clone are fought at the final battle.
Carlton. Carlton is the unknown villian for most of the game as you only see him at the beginning and find out about his evil scheme towards the end. Aegis is fought in Nobilia, Tiny underneath the Pyramid (not fought directly) and Mongolia is fought in Ivor Tower.
Carltron. Carltron is located in Omnitopia and has the most hitpoints of any character in the game. Carltron's main attack is the missile which he fires at the protagonist.

Final Fantasy. In Ebon Keep, one of the store owners is Cecil Harvey from "Final Fantasy IV". As can been seen in the game's soundtrack listing, Ebon Keep's theme is even titled "Cecil's Town". Other "Final Fantasy" characters also appear throughout the game.

Toaster. If the main character is idle for a certain amount of time, toast pops out of the dogs back. In addition, in this form, the dog can shoot lasers from its eyes.

Antiqua. The local currency in Antiqua is jewels, rather than Talons in Prehistoria, Gold Coins in Gothica, and Credits in Omnitopia. Currency can be exchanged throughout at different locatons throughout the game.
Call bead. The main character is given his first call beads from Fire Eyes. However, call beads can be found throughout the game.
Elizabeth. The main character meets Fire Eyes/Elizabeth in a village in Prehistoria. Fire Eyes is hailed as a god for her ability to shoot fire from her eyes.
Podunk. Both the main character and an NPC named Fire Eyes are from the town of Podunk. Podunk was the site of a failed experiment 30 years before the protagonist stumbled upon the abandoned building.
Square USA. "Secret of Evermore" was developed by Square USA, published by Squaresoft, and released on September 18, 1995. The game was also translated into French, German, and Spanish.
