| Does the main character escape from the Castle of the Ancients? | Shining Force

Yes. At the end of Shining Force, it seems like "Max" never escaped from the Castle of the Ancients because he was bound to the Chaos Breaker, however if you play Shining Force 2, somebody in one of the towns tells you that Someone named "Max" washed up on the shore.

10 Centuries. This was told in the story at the very beginning, if you don't press start or anything, by the way the music playing is very good.
Simone. The narrator, Simone, is the elf girl at the very beginning of the game reading the book, she tells you her name before you choose your file, or start new files, delete files, etc...
18. All Bow Riders have the same number of hit points, it is 18.
Holy Staff. Ramladu is equipped with a Holy Staff, in the attack mode it looks like he uses some kind of a Mace, but there are not any maces in the game.

Amon. The only rank for characters that can equip the Sword of Darkness is HERO ("Max"), and SKYW (Amon and Balbaroy).
Broad Sword. Cain possesses 2 swords, the Dark Sword, and the Broad Sword, he holds both of them when you see him when he attacks you, or you attack him. However if you view his stats the only sword equipped is the Dark Sword, which is obtained by "Max" later in the game, but when it is equipped it will curse you.

Sugoi Mizugi. The first battle of Chapter 3 is the battle at the Quarry, the Sugoi Mizugi (Japanese for Awesome Swimsuit), can be found after the battle in the cave where the chest that contains the Moon Stone is, to find it you need to search the left wall of the cave.
Evil and White and Black. There are 3 rings in Demon Castle (The castle in which you fight Mishaela. One is in the top right corner of the battle field, one is in the left center, and the bottom right corner.
None. The Ice Worms do not have any spells, they use attacks that look and damage as a spell would, but they are just their attacks.
22. All Seabats have the same number of hit points.

Long Sword. General Elliot is the boss for the first battle in Chapter 4, he is equipped with the Long Sword, which you can purchase afterwards.

Chicken. The main character is transformed into a chicken in order to pass the guard that only lets animals pass.

5. There are 5 Rune Knights at the beginning of the battle. They are always lined up in the same order near the castle that you are supposed to reach.
4. This is Tao's first spell advancement, it is at level 4.
Bronze Lance. If you don't equip Mae with any weapons she will be equipped with the Bronze Lance, and comes equipped with the Bronze Lance when she joins.

Ken, Luke, Tao, Hans. Notice the RIGHT in the question, Lowe actually joins after the other four.
Max. If you don't enter a name for your character, you'll automatically be assigned the name Max.

Moun. In this deserted village you will find the Arm of Golem. Later on you will meet a Golem called Claude that has lost his arm and after giving it to him, he joins your team! Fancy that! A Golem on your team!
Odd Eye. Odd Eye is one of the hardest Greater Devils to beat and the battle with Odd Eye contained a twist. The nearer you got to him, the harder it became to reach him due to the ground beneath you rapidly giving way!
Sorcerer. Kazin is a Mage to begin with and if this special item is not used then he will be promoted to a Wizard after level 20. Master Monks are a special promotion through use of the Vigor Ball that only Priests have the honour of becoming and only Knights can become Pegasus Knights by using the Pegasus Wing!
The Nazca Ship. The Nazca Ship was in the shape of a massive bird! But sadly it crash landed on arrival of Grans Island and you could not use it again!
Goddess Mitula. To save Mitula you have to beat one of the easiest Greater Devils named Zalbard. However, he has a very strong Bolt Level 2 which can quickly drain your Force Members if you aren't careful!
Sarah. Did you know that if you wait for around 5 minutes after the credits have rolled after beating Zeon, you can play a secret game including all of the greater devils? How cool is that?!
Zeon. Zeon was a toughie to beat! His HP was around 500 and his attacks included demon breath and one heck of a nasty bite!
Critical Sword. This weapon can be found at Zalbard's Battlefield in a chest next to a door. It has a better chance of getting a critical attack. The Indra Staff isn't even a Mithril weapon!
Five. One third of all the mithrils are found on Grans Island. You find one behind the ancient tower, one outside the cave to the Force Sword, one in the cave under the jail in Galam, one in a hole when Granseal's having an earthquake, and one at Sheela's Dojo at the very end.
By searching in a bush. Hanzou is the last character you pick up in the game. You find him by searching in the on your right-hand side just after you enter Runefaust. Hanzou's bush is the one with the flowers in it. He comes armed with a Doom Blade and can also cast some spells - Sleep, Desoul, Dispel and eventually Shield.
Musashi the Samurai is found by reading a note pinned to the wall in Prompt.
Jogurt can be recruited in Pao on your first visit by going through what appears to be a wall in the church. Jogurt is completely useless as all his stats remain at 1 for the duration of the game! If you manage somehow to defeat an enemy with Yogurt, you will receive a Jogurt Ring which, if used, makes the character who wears it look like Yogurt when they attack, even though they do the same damage as before.
As you might have guessed, there's no such thing as a Ninja egg! The only egg you get during the game is the Domingo Egg which is used to hatch Domingo, the Freeze-casting jellyfish-like creature! Domingo can be hatched in Pao on your first visit there by a man who says he can warm and hatch your egg in seconds.
Arthur. Arthur is one of the 2 characters who you pick up in Manarina (along with Anri) and learns Bolt, Blaze and Freeze level 1.
Pelle used to fight for the Runefaust army, but rejects them just before your battle with the Laser Eye near Bustoke and as a result is charged by a Silver Knight down the mountainside. Somehow he holds on and drags himself up the cliff again just before you leave the battle area and joins the "Shining Force"!
Vankar is the toast of Pao, and has a rather large chip on his shoulder as a result! He joins at the same time as Kokichi after Pao has moved from their first stop in Pao Prairie.
Mae is Varios's daughter and is Captain of the Knights in Guardiana. She joins you upon your return to Guardiana after the first couple of battles.
Wolf Baron. Zylo is a dangerous werewolf and one of the strongest characters in the game. He is particularly useful on difficult terrain as his movement is largely unaffected by mountains or rough ground, and as such he can get to far away enemies as quickly as the birdmen.
You find Zylo in Bustoke, and although you are initially informed that he has gone crazy by the townspeople, after you feed him Lunar Dew, he becomes tame again and joins the "Shining Force".
Yes. Amon, one of the two birdmen in your team, can also use the special swords, although interestingly, her colleague and superior Balbaroy cannot. This is a useful piece of knowledge to have as it can help train the initially weak Amon up to a similar level as Balbaroy quickly.
