Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information
World of Warcraft
Orgrimmar. Orgrimmar is the home of Both Orcs and Trolls. Thunderbluff is the home of Tauren, Ironforge is the home of Dwarves and Gnomes, Darnassus is the home of Night Elves, Stormwind is the home of Humans, and Undercity is the home of the Undead.
Nine. The classes are: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Warlock, Priest, Mage, Shaman, Paladin, and Druid. They all specialize in their own things, but in general, Warriors, Paladins and Rogues are good in melee combat, Priests, Warlocks and Mages are very fragile spellcasters, Hunters are good in physical ranged damage, and Shamans and Druids are both spellcasters and good in combat.
When the game was first released, what was the maximum level a player`s character can reach? | World Of Warcraft
|
60. It really requires a lot of months playing to raise a character to level 60, but it`s worth it, since you then can go with raiding parties and defeat BIG monsters etc. However, NPCs like guards in cities or beasts can get over level 60.
Kalimdor. Eastern Kingdoms is the area of The Alliance, Azeroth is the name from the "Warcraft" series. The Skull Rock is something I just made up. If an alliance member is in Kalimdor or a horde member is in eastern kingdoms, they are in big danger, since everyone able there will attack him. Therefore, explore enemy territory or conquer in groups.
40. They are:
Tauren: Druid, Warrior Hunter, Shaman
Orc: Shaman, Warrior. Hunter, Rogue, Warlock
Troll: Warrior, Shaman, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Hunter
Undead: Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Rogue
Human: Warrior, Priest, Rogue, Paladin, Warlock, Mage
Dwarf: Warrior, Priest, Hunter, Paladin, Rogue
Night Elf: Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Priest, Rogue
Gnomes: Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Rogue
So if you want to try all races and all classes, you have a long time of playing ahead of you.
Alliance and Horde. "Light and Dark" is actually the name of another MMORPG. The Alliance consists of the Gnomes, Dwarves, Night Elves and Humans. The Horde is made up of Tauren, Undead, Orcs and Trolls.
Yes. Yes you can, but only if the character is 'PVP-enabled'. In the PVP servers, there are free-for-all areas where everyone is automatically PVP flagged and you will also be flagged if you enter an enemy area. In all servers, you will be flagged if you attack another character who is already PVP-enabled. (You cannot attack a character unless they are already flagged this way.)
Paladin and Warlock. Druids get a travel form and Hunters get pets, but neither get free mounts. Paladins and Warlocks do get free mounts, although they have to complete quests in order to get the mounts. However, the quests (especially for the Paladin's level 60 mount) can be very involved and cost almost as much as the other classes' mounts themselves, so there isn't much of a benefit to getting a free mount!
Undead. Cannibalize basically allows the Undead to 'eat' a humanoid or undead they had just killed and gain health from it. It's a great way to gain health without having to carry around food all the time.
Alchemy. Arcanite transmutes have earned my character 5 gold for each transmute I've done. However, there is a cool down period for the transmutes that lasts two days, so you can only earn money every other day with this talent. Arcanite is used by other professions and it is a great way to earn money if you are a high level alchemist.
1 copper. When the game was first released, there was copper, silver and gold currency. A level 40 mount would cost 100 gold (90 for the mount itself and 10 for the riding ability). However if the player was honored with their faction, they could buy both at a 10% discount, costing them 90 gold total.
What is the first type of bandage that a First Aid profession can give? | World of Warcraft
|
Linen. As the character gets better at First Aid, they can learn heavy linen bandages, wool, etc. There are also recipes for anti-venom bandages, but those require an extra ingredient besides the cloth in order to make.
At what level could a character get their first mount when the game first went on sale? | World of Warcraft
|
40. A mount increases the speed a player can travel. This is needed around level 40 because many of the quests beginning at level 40 make the character travel between areas and not just kill a certain number of beasts in one area. The level was then pushed down to 30 as apparently too many players complained about having to run around the world (probably especially Stranglethorn Vale).
Hunter. A Warlock's imp comes automatically as a spell from a trainer after you complete the quest. A Hunter has to physically go out to the wild and get an animal to come to the Hunter in order for the hunter to get a pet. Mages and Druids don't really have pets, unless you put your talent points into a certain spec.
What class does not have a healing spell or effect without requiring glyphs? | World of Warcraft
|
Mage. Druids and Priests have healing spells. Warlocks can heal their pets and create health shards. (Warlocks can also create soul shards and resurrect a character.) Mages, however, have to rely on health potions, bandages and other players in order to heal. Being cloth-wearers, Mages usually try to stand in the background to do their damage so they don't get hurt that often, but it doesn't always work that way!
Tailoring. A tailor makes shirts and cloth armor. They use a series of coarse and fine thread to stitch their armor.
Enchanting. Crusader is a weapon enchant. On a hit, it gives the wielder a chance to gain 100 strength.
Right click the bobber. Fishing is a secondary profession. When the bobber bounces it means you got a bite, though you are not always guaranteed a catch.
300. To get to 300 hundred skill level you must talk to an Artisan trainer of that profession. Each profession requires you to be at a certain level or higher to get to 300.
48 hours. An alchemist can use this skill to make quite a bit of gold, but can't do any other transmutes for two days. Transmuting is a good way to make gold.
11 damage a second. Linen bandage is the first bandage you make. If you start first-aid at level 15 or higher, these are kind of useless to you.
Alchemy. Flasks are a great benefit to a group or player, they last for an hour and stay on you even if you die. Flasks are usually used in large raid groups.
Four. If you're just starting out, copper set is good to have as your gear. Blacksmithing is a very pricey profession. Usually having an alternate character is a good idea.
None of these. There is no such thing as a Red Lotus. There is only Black and a Purple one.
Twelve. They are Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Herbalism, Leatherworking, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, First-aid, Cooking, Fishing. A player can only learn two primary professions, and three secondary.
Purple. Blue and Green represent weapon with magic qualities. If a piece of equipment is red, then it needs to be repaired. Purple is the epic color, though not to be confused with orange, which is the color which represents the equipment of the Gods.
Four . This is sort of tricky, but it is in the intro clip. You can distinctly hear the woman telling the story before the introduction to the races.
Kilrogg . The famous Eye of Kilrogg uses a summoned minion which the Warlock uses to easily scout ahead for danger. Though easy to kill, this eye easily draws attention from enemies.
Shadowcraft. Shadowcraft is a black, leather armor that makes the rogues look like stalkers. Nevertheless it is a useful armor, working more on the agility of a player, which would be more useful to Rogues.
Magister. Magister is mainly meant for mages, due it its high intellect stats. However, it isn't uncommon to see a priest wearing a set.
Dreadmist. Dreadmist is a purple, freaky looking armor set that is meant for warlocks... and it shows. It hides the face of the Warlock, giving them red eyes. It also works more on Stamina than any other stat.
