 U.S. Army

35th I.D.. The 35th I.D. is a National Guard Division headquartered in Fort Leavenworth, KS.
1st I.D.. The 1st Infantry Division is called the "Big Red One" because of the Red Number One on their patch. Simple enough.
101st Abn Division. The "Screaming Eagles" of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assualt) are stationed in Fort Campbell, KY.
28th I.D.. The 28th I.D. was given that nickname after taking high causalties in the autumn of 1944.
13. SMA Preston was the appointed SMA in 2004, as described in question two of this quiz. The first was SMA Woolridge, appointed in 1966, and discussed in question one.
Silas Copeland. SMA Copeland was the 3rd SMA, sworn in on Oct 1, 1970. According to SMA Copeland, his biggest accomplishment was being able to influence leaders to treat soldiers as "human being[s], with dignity and respect."
George Dunaway. SMA Dunaway was the 2nd SMA. He was sworn in on Sept 1, 1968.
Robert Hall. SMA Hall was the 11th SMA. He was also inducted into the Sergeant Morales Club and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. SMA Hall served as an instructor at the Sergeants Major Academy after graduating from that same academy.
Jack Tilley. SMA Tilley was the 12th SMA. The black beret is just one of many things he did while serving as SMA.
Kenneth Preston. SMA Preston assumed duties on Jan 15, 04. SMA Preston served as the CSM for Combined Joint Task Force 7 that served in Baghdad.
William Wooldridge. William Woolridge was appointed as the SMA on July 11, 1966 and served in that position until August 1968. He was assigned to 1st Infantry Division and participated in the D-Day landings and the Battle of the Bulge campaigns. He was also appointed as the 1st Infantry Division sergeant major and was then deployed to Vietnam.

82 "All-American" Division. The 82nd Infantry Division was formed August 25, 1917, at Camp Gordon, Georgia. Since members of the Division came from all 48 states, the unit was given the nickname "All-Americans," hence its famed "AA" shoulder patch. This is the forerunner of the 82nd Airborne Division of today.
