    Tom Cudahy. Tragedy struck Tom and Brooke, in 1988, when Laura Cudahy was hit by a car, one day while being watched by Barbara Montgomery, and she died at the hospital, despite Joe and Cliff trying their best to save her. Tom broke the sad news, to Brooke, and Brooke did not want to believe her daughter was dead. Tom told Brooke to consider donating Laura's organs to others who would need a transplant. Brooke thought the idea over and agreed to allow Laura's organs to be donated in the event of a transplant.

Who told Travis that Erica had developed a serious ailment while in labor with Bianca?
    Joe Martin. Erica developed toxemia, when she was in labor with Bianca, and Joe informed Travis of what was wrong with Erica. Joe told Travis that Erica had to be treated right away or else she might end up with a stroke. Erica did not develop a stroke and she recovered from her toxemia.

Ellen and Mark remarried in 1988.
    t. Ellen had been married to Ross Chandler but their marriage ended in divorce once she found out about his affair with Natalie Marlowe. Ellen soon reconnected with her ex-husband, Mark Dalton, and they got engaged again. They remarried and hoped that they could start a family with Julie Chandler, who was Mark's biological daughter. At first, Julie did not accept Mark as her biological father but they eventually had a good relationship.

After Julie broke up with Charlie Brent, she had a relationship with which man?
    Nico Kelly. Julie and Charlie broke up once he decided to go to California and attend Stanford University so she turned to Nico. Nico and Julie began to date, despite how Julie disliked Nico's uncle, Creed. Before 1988 ended, Nico and Julie married but their marriage was short lived.

A vigilante group, in Pine Valley, nearly killed Cindy Parker since she had AIDS. Who led the vigilante group?
    Skye Chandler. Even though Stuart stood by Cindy, as she battled AIDS, many in Pine Valley did not want to accept her for who she was. A vigilante group, led by Skye Chandler, began to make live miserable for Cindy. One night, the vigilante group set fire to Cindy's home and, even though Skye was the leader of the group, she went in the house and saved Cindy's life. However, Skye's husband, Tom Cudahy, realized she led the group that nearly killed Cindy and he divorced her.

Who did Tom Cudahy turn to, for comfort, while Skye was in a coma?
    Barbara Montgomery. Even though Cindy did not suffer any serious problems, from the fire, Skye wound up in a coma as a result of her saving Cindy when Cindy's house burned down (for more, see "Interesting Info" for question five). While Skye was in a coma, Tom turned to Barbara Montgomery, for comfort, and they began to have a serious relationship. Skye eventually came out of her coma and saw Tom and Barbara together, on Stuart and Cindy's wedding day. She decided to fake being back in a coma so she could hold on to Tom but it did not work since Tom continued to fall in love with Barbara.

Who was committed to a mental hospital, in 1988?
    Skye Chandler. Skye wanted to get revenge, on Barbara, for taking Tom away from her so she kidnapped Barbara. Tom Cudahy's brother, Sean, informed Tom of what Skye had done and Tom went to go save Barbara from Skye. As Skye was about to kill Barbara, Tom came on the scene and urged Skye to give him her gun. Skye turned herself in and was first placed in jail and then, when she became catatonic, she went to Oak Haven.

When Sean Cudahy was released from prison, in 1988, he set his sights on which woman?
    Cecily Davidson. After serving many years in prison, for murdering Sybil Thorne, Sean was finally released and he came back to town and was interested in Cecily Davidson. Sean wanted to be in a relationship, with Cecily, since she had a huge trust fund. Cecily's mother, Bitsy, warned Cecily to stay away from Sean but Cecily decided to marry him. Cecily ended up breaking her engagement, to Sean, and she wound up falling for Nico Kelly.

In 1988, who was arrested for obstruction of justice and sentenced to one to three years in prison for helping Natalie?
    Palmer Cortlandt. Natalie had killed Silver Kane, in self defense, and Palmer helped her hide Silver's body so Natalie would not be charged with murder. Silver's body washed up and it was revealed that Natalie had killed her. However, what cleared Natalie's name was when there was a tape that recorded Silver and Natalie's confrontation, the night Silver was killed. The tape proved that Natalie shot her, in self defense, and Palmer stole the tape so he was arrested for obstruction of justice and sentenced to serve one to three years in prison. Palmer used his power and money to get special privileges, in prison, and work on the work farm.

Who hired Dixie Cooney to be a maid?
    Palmer Cortlandt. Dixie arrived in Pine Valley, in 1988, when she and her brother, Will, left Pigeon Hollow to find their uncle, Palmer. Dixie applied to be a maid, at Palmer's estate of Cortlandt Manor, and he hired her. At the time that Palmer had hired Dixie, he did not know that she was his niece since Dixie's mother, Bess, and Palmer were sisters. Palmer eventually found out that Dixie was his niece and they began to have a great relationship.
