Roman. In fact, there are only three civilisations - Greek, Norse and Egyptian, each with its own unique culture and 'playing environment'. The difference is much more prominent than "Age of Empires" series. In "Age of Mythology", each civilisation gains the favour of a particular God as they progress through the ages.
|How do the Greeks gain favour?|
By praying in temples. In "Age of Mythology", the resources are Food, Wood, Gold and Favour. Favour is necessary for summoning Myth units. Favour is obtained in different ways for different civilisations. Myth units are determined by the God you worship and can include Gorgons, Minatours, Pegasus, Cyclops etc (for Greeks).
Egyptians gain favour by building monuments and Norse gain favour when they fight!

Hera. There are only three major Gods for each civilisation - each God gives its followers unique "gifts". Hera's God power is "Lightning Storm" and her myth units include Medusa and Carcinos.
