    Oakland. Despite Oakland's good start, they only managed 11-5. The best three all came from the NFC.

The Cincinnati Bengals finished with the worst record, but who finished with the second worst record?
    Detroit. Those poors Bengals (surely the will turn it around soon) finished on 2-14. Detroit at 3-13, Chicago 4-12, Arizona at 5-11.

Which running back finished with the most rushing yards?
    Ricky Williams. The last piece in the so-called jigsaw puzzle, Ricky Williams finished with 1853 yards. Priest Holmes finished 3rd with 1615 yards, but he did miss the last two games through injury.

Rich Gannon passed for the most yardage in the NFL, but who in the NFC threw for the most yards?
    Kerry Collins. Indeed, Kerry Collins was number 1 in the NFC with 4073 yards. Culpepper was 2nd with 3853.

Marvin Harrison has the most receiving yards by a country mile, but who finished second?
    Randy Moss. Harrison finished with 1722, and Randy Moss with 1347.

Which defensive player registered the most sacks?
    Jason Taylor. Jason Taylor finished with 18.5 sacks, Simeon Rice 15.5, Dwight Freeney 13, and Hugh Douglas 12.5

Which kicker hit the longest field goal in the season?
    Adam Vinatieri. Adam Vinatieri hit a 57 yarder. Elam's longest was 55 yards, and Gramatica's longest was 53 as was Olindo Mare's. The record still held in 2002, being 63 yards tied between two players, Tom Dempsey & Jason Elam.

Which team finished with the most touchdowns?
    Kansas City. Kansas City scored 57 TD's, Oakland 53, New Orleans 49, Philadelphia 46.

Who was the league MVP?
    Rich Gannon. Rich Gannon with amongst other things, only 10 interceptions all season.

A big piece of history was made in this season, as Emmitt Smith overtook Walter Payton as the all-time leading rusher, but against which team did he break this record?
    Seattle. Smith broke Payton's record of 16,743 yards, on an 11 yard run with 9:10 left in the game. Unfortunately for both him and Dallas, they lost the game on a 20 yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining.
