    The River Irvine. Kilmarnock is the second largest town in Ayrshire. It lies almost halfway between Ayr and Glasgow.

There are several famous castles in Ayrshire. Which of these is NOT one of them?
    Largs Castle. There are quite a few castles located around Ayrshire, and most of them are open to the public. Although Largs doesn't have a castle, Kelburn Castle and Country Park is situated just a mile away from the town centre.

    1860. Eight men took part in the championship on October 17, 1860. Since then, Ayrshire has seen many memorable games, including the "Duel In The Sun" in 1977 between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.
