When school resumed in the fall, things had changed for Jennifer and me. We now had boyfriends! Jennifer's boyfriend was named William. Do you recall the name of mine?

Joshua. Joshua was very shy like me. He was my very first real boyfriend. I would not meet Luke for some time.

On my birthday I took my boyfriend out to the cottage for some "alone time". We started kissing a bit, but I think it was pretty innocent. Who found us together?

Tony. Tony was outraged when he discovered us. I couldn't understand why. We weren't doing anything bad.

Unfortunately things started spiraling downward for me soon after my birthday. In May Momma went off to a spa in Switzerland to "rejuvenate herself." One night Tony came into my room and, lost in his own madness, raped me. What did he call me while he was committing this heinous act?

My portrait doll. "Now I have turned you into a woman," he claimed. "I have completed my greatest work of art, made you into a living portrait doll." I was horrified. I wanted to tell someone, but I was too ashamed.

Tony raped me the following night, but where did this act occur?

My mother's room. I was missing my mother very much and went into her room to sleep. I had thought this would make me feel closer to her. I had locked the door, but Tony was angry and drunk and had a key to my room. At first he was shocked to see me. He thought I was my mother, locking him out again but didn't care. I begged and pleaded with him, but once again he had his way.

Momma believed me when I told her I was pregnant with Tony's child.

t. She believed me. However, she thought it was my own fault and that I seduced him!

I had also realized my mother had wanted me to be Tony's mistress. Tony had gone to her with claims of me trying to seduce him, of us making love in the cottage trying to make her jealous but it didn't work. Tony claimed my mother wanted me to be Tony's mistress and he himself wanted that as well. What a sick twisted family I was in. I decided I had to runaway. Who did I plan to go to?

Grandma Jana. Grandma Jana had always known what Momma was really like and I was beginning to realize that Momma's claims about her childhood were either lies or greatly exaggerated. I didn't know her anymore. I couldn't go to Daddy, because he wasn't there for me when I tried to tell him what Tony had done to me. Besides, he was too involved with Mildred and didn't care about me anymore.

When I stopped in Atlanta, I met a handsome young man who claimed he could turn my dollar bill into what?

five dollar bill. He did some trick with his hands and voila! a five dollar bill. I told him I didn't take money from strangers.

That handsome young man introduced himself to me. What was the full name he gave me?

Thomas Luke Casteel. Everyone called him Luke though.

What did Luke insist on calling me from that point on?

Angel. "It fits you more than Leigh does," he said.

Luke and I got married. I never did go to Grandma Jana's and Luke convinced me that he loved me and wanted to be the father of my baby. In the Willies, it was not uncommon for a girl of fourteen to be married and pregnant. We lived with his parents, Annie and Toby. It was a much different environment than what I was used to, but I was happy. What did Luke decide to build for me?

an outhouse. I had never heard of an outhouse before, and I was surprised when I found out what one was and that there was no indoor bathroom. Luke eagerly said he was going to get to work on building me my very own outhouse, though I had not asked for it.

I never contacted Momma and Tony again.

f. I wrote Momma a letter telling her I was sorry for what I did but had no choice since she didn't believe I was raped. I told her about Luke and how he agreed to be the father of my child. I wished her happiness and hoped that she would be able to wish me the same.

Annie and Toby believed my child to be Luke's child.

t. Luke had wanted it that way, although I think Annie suspected I was pregnant when we met for the first time.

If Luke and I were to have a girl, we decided we would name her Heaven. Who came up with the name?

Luke. Heaven Leigh Casteel would be her name if she was to be a girl.

Luke and I made love while I was pregnant.

n. I wanted to, but Luke wanted to wait until the baby was born and we had our own home. Unfortunately, there were many women who had their eyes on my handsome husband.

Sadly my tale comes to a tragic end. I gave birth to a little girl named Heaven Leigh Casteel, but died shortly afterwards. In that diary my father had given to me for my twelfth birthday I recorded all these events. Many years later a young woman found my diary. Who was she?

Annie. My granddaughter Annie found my diary when she came back to Farthingdale Manor after Troy Tatterton's death. My tale is told.
