Which first did NOT occur on Apollo 7?
    First EVA from command and service module. The first EVA from a command and service module was on Apollo 9. Command Module Pilot Dave Scott performed a 1-hour stand-up EVA. Apollo 7 was the first American three-man mission flown.

    Apollo Seven. NASA didn't allow spacecraft from Gemini 4 through Apollo 8 to be named. Starting with Apollo 9, there were two spacecraft to communicate with, so NASA again authorized the use of names.
