We're in northern New South Wales at the mouth of the Richmond River. Where are we?

    Ballina. Ballina is a great fishing spot, just over 750 km north of Sydney and home to the "Big Prawn" which can be seen from kilometres away!

We're on the banks of the Wakefield River in South Australia, 91 km from Adelaide. Where are we?
    Balaklava. Balaklava is situated on the northern edge of the Adelaide Plains. A small town with a number of attractive sandstone buildings and a large "Keep Left" sign in the middle of the town which has an overhead powerline coming down to it!

We're in Western Australia, 189 km south of Perth at the junction of two rivers. Where are we?
    Bunbury. Bunbury is the third largest town in Western Australia, situated at the junction of the Preston and Collie Rivers, it is a popular tourist destination with views to the Darling Ranges.

We're in an area of New South Wales between the sea and the Koscisko snowfields at the junction of two highways. Where are we?
    Bega. Bega is famous for its cheese! It is situated at the junction of the Princes and Snowy Mountains Highways, which join Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

We're in one of Victoria's most famous gold-mining towns. Where are we?
    Bendigo. Officially named Bendigo (after a bare-knuckle boxer) in 1891, its gold rush began in 1851 and gold production there continued for the next century. Bendigo is also renowned for its pottery.

We're in the "Apple Isle", Tasmania. 183 km north-west of Launceston. Where are we?
    Boat Harbour. A beautiful beachside town settled in the 1830's, 30 km from Burnie. The white sand of Boat Harbour's beaches is attributed to the quartzite rocks which make up the coastline.

We're in Queensland, midway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, between the Logan and Albert Rivers. Where are we?
    Beenleigh. Well known for its Rum Distillery, Beenleigh was first settled in 1864, when the Distillery was built. It was named after an area in Devon, England.

We're in Tasmania, the "Holiday Isle", 43 km from Launceston. Where are we?
    Beaconsfield. Situated in one of the apple growing districts of Tasmania's north-east, Beaconsfield was named in honour of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Benjamin Disraeli, the Earl of Beaconsfield.

Back to Queensland, we're halfway between Mackay and Townsville in a place named after Queensland's first Governor. Where are we?
    Bowen. Bowen is located 1,165 km from Brisbane and 206 km south of Townsville. Captain Cook passed within 9 km of the coastline off Bowen. In 1861 Bowen was officially named the northernmost town in Queensland!

We're on the south coast of New South Wales, 23 km south of Montague Island. Where are we?
    Bermagui. All forms of fishing can be partaken of in Bermagui, 378 km south of Sydney. It was popularised for its fishing by US novelist Zane Grey in the 1930's!
