Fun Trivia: B : BTTF Trilogy .

Special Sub-Topic: Back to 'Back to the Future'

What are the names of Lorraine’s parents?

Sam and Stella. Lorraine [Lea Thompson]'s father yelled to his wife Stella after hitting Marty [Michael J. Fox] with his car. Stella told Sam to "stop fiddling with that thing [the Baines family's first televison set] and come eat your dinner".

What brand of vehicle was the truck that Marty wanted?
Toyota. It was to go on sale/display at the Hill Valley Statler Toyota dealership. When watching Part 3, you see that in 1885, "Honest" Joe Statler is the horse seller of the town. Regarding the other makes of the vehicles mentioned: Young Biff owned a 1946 Ford in 1955. The DeLorean time machine was a DMC.

What color were the police car's license plates in Hill Valley, California in 1985?
Blue. It is clearly seen on the Police car Marty hitched a ride from on skateboard at the beginning of Part 1.

At the beginning of the movie, Doc told Marty that he’d be going how many years into the future?
    25. At the beginning of Part 1, Doc [Christopher Lloyd] said that he would be traveling only 25 years into the future. At the end of the movie, however, he instead went ahead 30 years. "It's a nice, round number".

What store was located behind Doc and Marty at Twin Pines Mall?
JCPenny. It's illuminated in blue in the background, easy to see.

What was Marty’s brother’s name?
Dave. George McFly [Crispin Glover] was Dave and Marty's father. Joey was their uncle (Lorraine's brother) currently in prison: "Uncle Jail-bird Joey".

What did Marty run over with the DeLorean, that upset old-man Peabody?
a pine tree. While Marty and the DeLorean did knock over Peabody's fence, the old man was most concerned about his trees. As Doc had said earlier: "Old man Peabody owned all of this. He had a crazy idea about breeding pine trees". While trying to shoot the DeLorean (which he and his family believed to be a space craft), he blew his mailbox apart, thankfully missing the car.

What two beverages did Marty try to order from the café in 1955?
Pepsi Free and a Tab. Since neither Pepsi Free nor Tab had yet been invented in the 50s, the man at the counter didn't know what Marty was really trying to order. All he really wanted was "something without sugar".

From Part 2: What date was Doc taken to when the flying DeLorean was struck by lighting?
January 1, 1885. September 1st was the date Doc wrote his letter to Marty (to be received 70 years later). September 7th was the date on Doc's tombstone. November 5 [1955] of course, was the day Doc invented time travel.

From Part 3: What was the top speed of the team of horses pulling the DeLorean?
24 mph. Even though Doc very well knew not even the fastest horse could reach more than 40 mph at the most, he still tried anyway. It was a humorous sight to see the horses pulling the DeLorean though. Very memorable and one of my favorite scenes in the movie. That concludes my Back to the Future quiz. In the words of Doc, remember: 'Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one'.
