Special Sub-Topic: Characters from 'Farseer' Trilogy

Let's start with the most important name of all... What is the REAL name of the main character, Fitzchivalry Farseer?

Keppet. Fitz recalled his name fully in the very last novel. He had given the pain of being abandoned by his mother to 'Girl on Dragon' and when these memories were given back after a bargain between the dragon and the fool, he was able to recall his mother fully ... and the name given by her.

What is the name of Fitz's future mentor and assassin trainer?
Chade. Chade first made himself known to Fitz by opening a secret passage leading from his own bedroom to Chade's hidden quarters, deep within the walls of the castle. Chade is the unknown half brother of King Shrewd.

What is the name of Fitz's future mentor and assassin trainer's pet?
Slink. Slink is the ever faithful pet and companion of the secret assassin Chade. He is long lived through the books and saves the pair from eating poison meant for Chade's alter ego (question 4)

Fitz's assassin trainer has an alter ego. What is his/her name?
Lady Thyme. Fitz first meets Lady Thyme while on his first journey to the mountain kingdom. He is unaware at the time that this unhygenic women is really his assassin mentor.

What is the name of Fitz's first horse?
Sooty. Sooty was meant to become a performance horse and the younger stablehand, Cob, was very put out by her being given to Fitz. It was the beginning of the end of their friendship there and then.

What is the name of Fitz's last wit partner and best friend?
Nighteyes. Fitz finds Nighteyes at the markets being sold as a mangy, unkempt cub. This is what he calls him at first (Cub) until their bond is complete and the wolf lets Fitz know his true name.

What is the very first thing said to Fitz by his last, grey haired wit 'brother'?
"I hate you". 'I came to the animal vendor's stall, and stood face to face with myself. He was gaunt, with bleak dark eyes. He glared at me balefully, and the waves of hatred pulsing out from him washing over me in greeting. Our hearts beat to the same rhythem. I felt my upper lip twitch, as if to snarl up and bare my pitifull human teeth. I straightened my features, battened my emotion back under control. But the caged wolf cub with the dirty grey coat stared up at me, and lifted his black lips to reveal all his teeth. 'I HATE YOU. ALL OF YOU. COME, COME CLOSER. I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU. I'LL RIP OUT YOUR THROAT AFTER I HAMSTRING YOU. I'LL FEAST ON YOUR ENTRAILS. I HATE YOU'."

What is the name of the beautiful, white mare bought by the newly financial Fool?
Malta. "Liveship Traders" SPOILER WARNING: I have often wondered why the fool chose this particular name for his beautiful horse. As I'm sure you know, this is also the name of a character from the "Liveship Traders" series, where the fool played another 'character' and knew Malta to be a spoiled, spiteful child. Sure she turned out all right but personally I would have preferred the name Althea!

What are the names of King Shrewd's children in order of age, from eldest to youngest?
Chivalry, Verity, Regal. The two eldest boys were the sons of King Shrewd and his first wife. The youngest, Regal, was a result of his second marrage to Queen Desire. She was from Tradford nobility and believed her own son's blood to be more 'regal' then his two elder siblings. From this, she poisoned his mind from a young age to believe himself better than his brothers, and more deserving of the throne.

What is the name of the long awaited bride of King-in-waiting Verity?
Kettricken. The future ruler of the mountain kingdom after the murder of her brother Rurisk. Regal first tried to steal this Queen's hand from his brother while he was meant to be courting her for him. He failed and the two were married while Verity attended via the skill.
