Gloria Estefan was given the challenge to write an appropriate song for the opening of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, but took so long to come up with one that Celine Dion wrote a song. So Gloria teamed up with Diane Warren to come up with 'Reach', which was used in the closing ceremony of the Games.
