I'm known as the first philosopher. I was born in Milete (Greece) about 624 B.C. and I thought that everything consisted of water. I was not only a philosopher, but also a mathematician and a scientist.

Thales. Thales predicted an eclipse of the Sun in 585 B.C. and he measured the height of a pyramid by using the length of his own shadow. I was a Greek tragedy-writer. I was born about 480 B.C. I was very popular and wrote about many things, like personal issues and the state.

Euripides. Euripides presented his first tragedies at the Great Dionysia 455 B.C. but his first victory at these games was in 441 B.C. He wrote plays like Medea, The Bacchae, Hippolytes and many others. It is said that women were not allowed to see his plays because they were sometimes shocking. I am a Greek philosopher, but I'm better known for my association with the statement: "A squared, plus B squared, equals C squared". But it would be a shame if that was the only thing you know about me. I set up a school with a few very srange rules, like: 'don't touch white cocks' and the most important rule: 'Don't eat bread beans!'

Pythagoras. Pythagoras was not only a mathematician but also a well-known philosopher. He was born about 596 B.C. in Samos. He thought that everything consisted of numbers, although it's quite difficult to understand. He set up a school, although it was more like a sect. He taught behind a sheet, and only a few people were allowed to see 'the master'. His teaching was secret, the tutors weren't even allowed to say his name. The only thing they could say while talking about him was 'ipse dixit' or, in Greek: 'Autos efe'. (Which means something like: He said it himself). I was an Italian composer who worked for Louis XIV. I composed ballets and I collaborated with Molière on comédie-ballets. I'm also the inventor of the French Opera.

Jean-Baptiste Lully. His real name was Giovanni Battista Lulli. He was born in Florence in 1632. His pieces were very succesful and it is said that the people in Paris even sang his operas on the street. He died in 1687. He injured his foot with the point of a stick that he was using to beat time while performing his Te Deum to celebrate the recovery of Louis XIV. He got Gangrene and within three months, he died. I was the person who rediscovered the ancient city Troje (Troy). I'm from Germany.

Heinrich Schliemann. Heinrich Schliemann found out where the ancient city of Troy was. He studied several books about Troy and guessed where the city had to be. Unfortunately, he didn't find the city there and everyone said that it was a city that Homeros had made up. But he kept looking and found out that the world had changed since the Trojan War, and that Troy was a lot more inland now than it used to be. So he found Troy. It's modern name is Hissarlik. I was the person who created the gardens of Fontainebleau and Versailles, but that's not the only thing I've done. I created many parks and I lived during the 17th century.

André le Nôtre. Le Nôtre was the greatest French garden and landscape designer. He was born in 1613. He worked for King Louis XIV, and was known all over the world. Aristoteles. Aristoteles (Aristotle) has written about almost everything, and about almost every other philosopher. He also had his own philosophy. He was born in 384 B.C. Fryderyk Chopin. Chopin was born in Poland but later he moved to Paris. He was one of the greatest composers of his time and was very famous. He performed before the aristocracy and several kings.
