    Gothenburg. The contest was held in the Scandinavium in Gothenburg. The Scandinavium is the major sporting arena in that city, and was the largest venue used by that date by the Eurovision competition.

    Norway. Norway won with its entry, "La det swinge" ("Let It Swing"). They beat out second-place Germany by fifteen points.

    Vikki. While all are British pop groups, it was Vikki who sang the 1985 entry. Vikki is Victoria Watson, now known as Aeone. Her genre of music rapidly moved from pop to new age/Celtic.

One is unable to either remember the performance or find information related to it.     four. Four countries tied for two positions. Spain's "La fiesta terminó" ("The Party's Over") and Turkey's "Didai didai dai" (no translation) tied for fourteenth place, while Cyprus' "To Katalava Arga" ("I Realised It Was Too Late") and Greece's "Miazoume" ("We Are Alike") tied for sixteenth.
