Answer: Giuseppe Farina

'Nino' Farina was born in Turin, Italy. He won the Championship in 1950 driving a Alfa Romeo, also in the same team was future champion Juan Fangio. In 1952 Farina changed to Ferrari, but never gained the same status again, retiring in 1955.

Answer: Juan Manuel Fangio

Juan Manuel Fangio is possibly the greatest Formula One driver ever. Born in Argentina, the Master dominated F1 motor racing for over six years, winning 24 races and having 29 pole positions.
3. Alberto Ascari won how many Formula One Championships?

Answer: 2

Born in Milan, Italy, Ascari was the son of a racing driver and won two World championships for the Ferrari team (152 and 1953). He died in a practice lap for the 1955 Supercortemaggiore 1000 km race.
4. Who won the 1962 Formula One Drivers Championship?

Answer: Graham Hill

Graham Hill was born in London, England in 1929. He won four races for the BRM team in 1962, including the Italian and German Grand Prixs. He then joined Lotus and won the championship for them in 1968. He broke both legs in the 1969 USA GP and never recovered his form. Graham Hill died in a plane crash coming home from France in 1975.
5. Who won the 1963 Formula One Drivers Championship?

Jim Clark was born in Fife, Scotland in 1936. He made his debut in Formula One in 1960, in the Dutch Grand Prix, driving a Lotus. In 1963 he won an amazing 7 races out of 10 and easily won the Championship. In the 1964 season he was again narrowly beaten (as in 1962), but completed his second Drivers Championship win in 1965, as well as winning the Indy 500 in the same year. One of the greatest drivers in his generation, he tragically died in a crash at Hockenheim in 1968.
6. Who won the F1 World Drivers Championship in 1967?

Answer: Denny Hulme

Denny Hulme was from New Zealand. He won the title driving a Brabham car, but was part of a trio of Kiwi drivers going around in the sixties (Denny Hulme, Chris Amon and Bruce Mclaren). After winning the title, he drove in the Can-Am series, winning multiple races with his kiwi friend Bruce McLaren.
7. Who won the F1 Drivers Championship in 1969?

Answer: Jackie Stewart

Jackie was born in Dumbartonshire, Scotland. He won three World Drivers Championships (1969, 1971 and 1973) and was a strong and vocal supporter of driver safety.
8. Who won the Formula One Drivers Championship in 1970?

Answer: Jochen Rindt

Jochen was born in Germany. He drove for the Cooper and Brabham racing teams in the sixties, before scoring a drive for Lotus, where his career blossomed, coming 4th in 1969 and leading the 1970 championship before sadly being killed in a practice for the Italian Grand Prix.
9. How many Drivers Championships did Jack Brabham win ?

The Australian Jack Brabham had a long and distingushed career, both as a driver and car builder. His three championships came in 1959, 1960 and 1966. His win in 1966 was unique - a championship in a car built by the dirver.

Fangios record of five titles (1951, 1954-55-56-57) stood for over forty-five years, till Michael Schumacher finally broke it in the 2003 season with his title (1994-95, 2000-01-02-03).
