Special Sub-Topic: For "Ella Enchanted" Enthusiasts

I wonder when my sister will pay me those KJs for dancing with the prince? I danced with him 3 times, that means 3 times 3, that is... 8! So I'll get richer by 8 KJS! I must hide them under my bed, or she's going to steal them back...

Olive. Olive was the younger daughter of Dame Olga, the odious, plump woman who was Ella's step-mother. Olive was a simpleton, which means she had no brains, and she is a big-eater. She always finds places to hide her money!

This is the worst day! I got up and found my wig was gone! It was nowhere to be found! And Ella has disappeared! Well, at least that's good news. She's too pretty and brave for my liking...
Hattie. Hattie was the older daughter of Dame Olga. She wasn't that smart either, but better than Olive. Like her mother, she schemes and plots to achieve her goals. In Hattie's case, her goal was to be the wife of Prince Char, aka the queen of Kyrria.

I won't have Sir Peter's filthy girl live like a queen in my palace! I bet she just wanted to steal all our money! I'll send her off to the laundry department tomorrow, they shall take "good care" of her!
Dame Olga. Dame Olga was an evil, plump and odious woman. She truly loved Sir Peter, Ella's father, but when she found our he married her for money, she turned VERY mean to Ella.

Poor girl. I know she she truly loved the prince, but there was nothing she could do. She made a truly great sacrifice. Lady would have been proud of her if she was alive now.
Mandy. Mandy was the fairy-godmother of Ella's mother's family, which included Ella. Their line was "friends of the fairies". She disagreed with Lucinda, and was furious when Lucinda bestowed the "gift" of obedience on Ella. She was also a very skilled cook.

I wish I didn't accept the challenge from Mandy! Now I'm living in this cramped hole, and I'm cold, hungry and uncomfortable, as usual. I think being an obedient child will be at least better...
Lucinda. Lucinda was a reckless and stupid fairy, said Mandy in the book. She was the only fairy who performed "big" magic. She bestowed "gifts" on newborn babies and newly-weds. This often had disastrous results, as in Ella's case. Lucinda did not realise the consequences before she acceptd Mandy's challenge, which was to be a squirrel for 3 months and an obedient child for 3 months.

ROAR! And I thought we were going to get a delicious meal! Now I have to carry that knight every day. If only my son was not so soft and had agreed to eat her sooner! ROAR!
sEEf. While Ella was travelling to a giant's farm to attend a wedding to find Lucinda, she was caught by some ogres. sEEf was the leader of the band. Luckily, Ella was good with languages, and she imitated the ogre's pursuasive way of speaking and bought herself enough time until Prince Charmont and his team of knights came to rescue her.

That was such an enjoyable day! That fairy-made book gave me a lot of pleasure. I wonder where the girl got it? Since she's given me so much pleasure, I will give her a piece of Agulen's pottery tomorrow!
Slannen. Ella met an elf during her travels. The elf led her to his village, where Slannen was the leader, and Ella had a refreshing night's sleep there. She was given a piece of Agulen's pottery, which is very precious, and she was also loaned a pony. It was after she set off that she met the ogres.

That soceress, that minx, that harpie! She seemed so nice in her letters, so simple, so friendly. I am lucky my letter has not reached her in time. I will burn her letters later. I wish never to see her again!
Prince Charmont. Prince Charmont, the story's leading male character, is described as a caring, kind prince. He fell in love with Ella the first time he saw her, whereas for Ella love would come later. However, Ella knew she was cursed and could be used by Kyrria's enemies to kill Char. She loved him so deeply she made a great sacrifice. She sent a letter to him to make it seem as though she was a plotting, scheming woman who just wanted his love for power and show-offing.

I had finally found a friend! She is the only one who doesn't mock my Ayorthian accent, and she doesn't mind me being poor. She is witty, funny and nice. I hope she settles down quickly in finishing school.
Ariedia. Ariedia was Ella's best friend at finishing school. She was poor and came from Ayortha. The other girls often mocked her Ayorthan accent and made fun of her. Ella was nice to Ariedia, but Hattie, who also went to the finishing school, commanded her to break up with Ariedia, which caused Ella to run away.

The letter shocked me. He loved me. He loved me! I did not love him at first, but now I realised I loved him as much as he loves me. But I'm cursed. A letter from the enemies. A dagger in his back. No, I couldn't marry him. No! But what should I do?
Ella. Ella, the heroine of the story, was cursed by Lucinda, and she had to follow every command given to her. She was determined and brave and managed to defy the curse. In spite of her odious step-family, ogres, giants, fairies and elves, her love for Char finally prevailed and the curse was broken. And they lived happily ever after!
