Fun Trivia: H : Halo Games

Special Sub-Topic: "Halo" Knowledge

What happens in the beginning of "Halo 2" that ends the award ceremony?

The Covenant attack. Just as Lord Hood is giving out the awards, Cortana comes up on the hologram. Then she warns of the attack.

What is the reason that the Arbiter is punished in the beginning of "Halo 2"?
Blamed for being a Heretic. The Arbiter is blamed of being a Heretic for surviving the incident of the original "Halo" but having all the other Covenant die. Ironically enough he later must chase down another Heretic and kill him.

How many needles can the Needler in "Halo 2" hold (not including the ones that have already been loaded)?
    180. The original Needler actually held less than this. Plus, with the ability to dual-wield, you can have over 300 needles at any one time.

What major annoyance in "Halo" was corrected in "Halo 2"?
The Magnum became weaker. In "Halo" many people were annoyed at the fact that in many cases the Magnum could kill someone who had an Assault Rifle with ease. In "Halo 2" the Magnum is much weaker and acts more realistically, but there are still annoying space jumps.

Which one of these is not a three-combo weapon set?
Jackhammer, Sniper Rifle, and Needler. You can have any one weapon on back up, but the Jackhammer and Sniper Rifle would fill up all of your weapon slots.

What genre was "Halo" originally going to be?
RTS. The game started off as a futuristic RPG set in a similar world to that of "Halo". Later on, the idea was thought that fans would be much happier to play an FPS instead of an RTS.

Prior to the release of "Halo", Bungie had worked on other FPSs.
True. Before "Halo", Bungie had created a great series of FPSs called "Marathon". If you look closely there are a lot of cameos from "Marathon" in "Halo".

Which one of these weapons cannot be dual-wielded?
Battle Rifle. The is a common misconception that the Battle Rifle from "Halo 2" and the Assault Rifle from "Halo" are the same weapon. In fact the Battle Rifle has a zoom function and shoots in short bursts unlike the Assault Rifle.

In Multiplayer there are two things written of the walls of two separate levels. Who are they signed by?
Not Sid. In Beaver Creek the words can only be seen by going in with one person. The second set can be seen by two people and reads "Not Sid Was Here".

In the last level of "Halo 2" you must face off against the leader of the Brutes, Tartarus. How many shots from Johnson does it take for his shields to go down?
    3. As long as you are not in Johnson's way he will shoot off three consecutive shots at Tartarus. Then you have a few seconds to fire as many shots into him as you can before his shields go back up.
