Isaac Brock, lead guitarist of the popular alternative band Modest Mouse, is credited with coming up with the somewhat strange name of their group. He reportedly came up with the name after reading a book in which the author describes the working class as "modest, mouse-colored people." Can you name the book?
The Mark On The Wall. No explanation on why Isaac Brock chose this, apparently Virginia Woolf's description just tickled his fancy. Submitted by member milky54

Released in 1963, the first US chart hit of a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney was not by The Beatles. What was this single and who recorded it?
"From Me To You" by Del Shannon. In 1963 Del Shannon listened to The Beatles rehearsing the song "From Me To You" at London's Royal Albert Hall. Two weeks later he returned home to the US and recorded it. Interestingly enough, the song was a bigger hit for Shannon than for The Beatles. Submitted by member boogerdog

Formed in Florida in 1979 as Babyface, this group later changed its name and signed with MCA Records, recording their first two albums for that label. One of my favorite bands of the 80s was the Circle Jerks. Keith Morris, the lead singer, was once an original member of another punk outfit. Which band was it?
Black Flag. Most everyone associates Henry Rollins (deservedly so in many cases) as the only lead singer for Black Flag. It was Keith Morris, however, that Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski chose to lead their new band in 1977. It only took a couple of years for Black Flag to grow weary of Morris' substance abuse problems, and the band let him go. Later, in 1981, Black Flag met up with Rollins, after a few correspondences back and forth, and he joined up with the group. He first acted as a roadie, and then as lead singer. The rest, as they say, is history. Submitted by member ralzzz
