|Basta and Flatnose came to Fenoglio's house and took Meggie.|
f. Basta and Flatnose went to the house where Meggie and Mo rent a room. When they took Meggie, Mo had just left to the aiport to pick up Elinor. Basta left a note that just said "Basta" so that Mo would know that he had taken Meggie.
|Who is very superstitious?|
Basta. Basta had always been superstitious, because that is the way Fenoglio made him in "Inkheart."
|One of Capricorn's maids can't talk. What is her name?|
Resa. Resa is one of Capricorn's best maids. Dustfinger adores her, and visits her often. During one visit, he brought Farid along with him. Resa wrote down things instead of talking.
|What is the first book that Meggie reads something out of?|
Peter Pan. When Meggie and Fenoglio are in Capricorn's home, Fenoglio finds a couple of hidden books for Meggie. She reads "Peter Pan" aloud and then something comes out.
|What is the first thing Meggie reads out of a book?|
Tinker Bell. When Meggie reads from "Peter Pan", Tinker Bell flies out. Basta comes in right after and finds the fairy. Then he takes Meggie to Capricorn to meet someone.
|How old is Meggie?|
Twelve. Meggie was separated from her mother when she was three, and she hadn't seen her for nine years, so she would be twelve.
|Meggie thinks Resa is her mother.|
t. Meggie thinks that Darius, Capricorn's old reader, read Resa out of "Inkheart". Her mom's name is really Teresa. She think Resa looks a lot like her and the picture that Mo had of her.
|What does Meggie nickname Mortola?|
Magpie. When Meggie first meets Mortola, she calls her the Magpie; later Fenoglio tells Meggie that Mortola was nicknamed Magpie in his book.

|Where does Fenoglio go during the festivities?|
Into his book. After Meggie finishes reading she notices that Fenoglio is gone. Mo goes to look for him, but doesn't find him, so he thinks he disappears into his book.
