    Flagon. The prototype of the Su-15 first flew in 1965 and needs a runway 2000 - 3000 meters (6560 - 9840ft) in length to operate from.

    Two. The Tu-128 "Fiddler" had an endurance of over eight hours, and is one of the largest fighter aircraft ever with a wing span of 60ft, and a length of just over 89ft. As a comparison, the F-15 Eagle has a wing span of 31ft, and a length of nearly 48ft.

The JA37 Viggen is manufactured by whom?
    Saab. The Saab JA37 Viggen was designed to operate from country roads as well as runways. It has STOL (Short Take Off Landing) capability by the use of its giant afterburner and thrust reverser.

The McDonnell Douglas F-15 is known as the what?
    Eagle. The F-15 Eagle was a replacement for the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom. Apart from the USA, other counties that use the aircraft include, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Japan.

The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom could achieve a top speed in excess of Mach 2.
    True. The F-4 Phantom could reach a speed of Mach 2.27 (1,500mph). The first flight of the F-4 was on 27th May 1958, with the production of the aircraft ending in 1979.

Which country produces the IAI Kfir?
    Israel. When the French cut off military supplies to Israel in 1967, Israel set about building its own aircraft. The prototype IAI Kfir (Lion Cub) flew in 1973 and was revealed to the public in 1975.
