Johnny lived on a ranch. What was it named?

    Circle X Ranch. The Circle X Ranch playset came complete with furniture and a stove!

Johnny had a wife. What was her name?
    Jane West. The original issue Jane is known as the 'ugly' or 'long face' Jane among collectors. Subsequent Jane's had a more attractive face. Her accessories included a lipstick and comb (for her plastic hair?)

Who manufactured the Best of the West toys?
    Marx. Marx was the toy manufacturer responsible for bringing us the Electroshot Shooting Gallery, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, Marvel the Mustang, trains, dolls and other wonderful toys. The company was sold to Quaker Oats in the early 70's- the last year of production was 1978.

What was the name of Johnny's horse?
    Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt came in several colors including brown, black, sorrel and palomino. A full set of tack was included- saddle, bridle, saddle blanket and saddle bags.

Johnny had two daughters. What were their names?
    Josie and Janice. Janice had brown hair and Josie was blonde. The girls came complete with accessories including a purse, compact and wristwatch.

Johnny also had two sons. What were their names.
    Jamie and Jay. Jay was a blonde and Jamie had brown hair. The accessories for the boys included a pistol, knife and tether.

Which Native American was featured in the series?
    all of these (Geronimo, Chief Cherokee, Fighting Eagle). The Geronimo figure was modeled after the actual Geronimo, and Chief Cherokee has an uncanny resemblance to Sitting Bull. Strangely, Fighting Eagle appears to be Iroquois.

Who were Flick and Flack?
    pair of dogs. Flick was a German shepherd and Flack was a setter.

Although Johnny was most often seen in brown, what other color was he produced in?
    Green. A later Canadian version of Johnny was green. There was also a rare Mexican version in red, as well as blue version known as Quick Draw Johnny West.

Who was the outlaw bad guy in the series?
    Sam Cobra. Sam had a black goatee and moustache, and wore all black. He came with tons of accessories including dynamite, handcuffs, several guns and knives.
